  2. Good idea to send all references for prerecorded MDs not on the list
  3. France 21/12 to 5/1 ! Look like the loudspeakers could be computer ones but each need to have his own mini-jack. Easy for you to adapt those to the LAM-X1. Maybe I could take it like that (no speakers, japanese). Send me somes pictures (not from web...) and let me now on my personnal e-mail how much you want for it.
  4. I could be a question of audio card settings. I check mine for curiosity : Creative - Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum, "Enregistrement en 16 ou 24 bits aux fréquences d'échantillonage de : 8, 11.025, 16, 22.05, 24, 32, 44.1, 48 et 96kHz ". I never recorded line in anyway.
  5. http://laserdiscplaz...Disc/MDBBD.html Up to you to find the same for the US, UK, Japan, etc markets ! 1000 thanks to Diamond Dog
  6. It is a question for me Stephen ? My NH900 got two screen, the second one came two years ago from Sony Singapour for 30$ (I still have the first one). But for me it has been always too faint.
  7. As Pham Cu don't have prerecorded MD, he will not be able to make a test. Is there any problem during your own test with the service mode solution ? Why don't you simply record in real time your prerecorded MD on your PC with a MD deck with optical out ?
  8. Too far for a postage. My NH900 with only button problems was perfect for sharing spare parts.
  9. Make your own MD with beautiful printed labels both on the MD and on the jewel case...
  10. http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_LAM-X1.html "4 line display with Roman/Kanji/Hiragana support (Kanji/Hirgana input via PC only)" The user manual is here : http://diplo-best.com/review/SONY/LAM-X1 . Open it, copy japanese text and paste it in Google Translator till you discover how to change the display mode. Or search "DISPLAY" in the text. It is really possible to have english on the screen as user manual show clearly pictures with an english menu. ... but do you realy have a LAM-X1 Hi-MD ??? For you or for your MD customer (you know who I am talking about)? It is great to have one, perfect laptop companion.
  11. There is a cheap one here :http://www.leboncoin.fr/image_son/262556100.htm?ca=8_s
  12. This topic should be in the classifieds section but I think everybody will be interested in this machine : Sony SME-9800 Minidisc Duplication System http://cgi.ebay.fr/G...=item4cfc779f3d http://images.market...481/g85119a.jpg For information, Pham Cu (phamcu) has several Sony MDS-W1 in Vietnam, and he is able to hack the W1 such as the unit can make a real copy, not only a transfer of tracks.
  13. The presence of Pham Cu allow me to be less anxious about my MD problems. My Hi-Md units problems made me move back from Hi-MD to SP-MDLP, and my ears and my presence in Vietnam for long made me move from portable units to decks ! My little MD collection waiting for me in France for Christmas is a reenforce in MD, taking precaution before the complete extinction of MD portable units in Vietnam. And also to show a clear repulse of the dematerialization of music.
  14. I am not aware, so why this software is useful in particular in MD business ? dealing with Atrac ?
  15. Like Jim Hoggart, he is lucky ! He live in England. But you Stephen, you did not have found yet a repair guy in Canada ? I know, I know, me I have Pham Cu in Saigon (Vietnam) and I can swagger (like Jack Swagger WWE) with that.
  16. I have the feeling that MDs were the ideal support years ago for that (above all for the customer because of his reliability in time) and as now new laws (In France in particular) are passed so that making copies will be forbiden or "forced to be only possible if there is an evidence of an lawful source". New version of the existing law : << This new version also states that a work reproduced in a private source must come from a "lawful". A likely consequence is the inability to benefit from the next exception for private copying, as it is difficult to prove lawful source of a work, including cloud, prevent opponents to the text. >> http://www.lemonde.f...#ens_id=1280818 One day, possessing DVD-Roms & CD-Roms or even a HDDs with music or movies inside will be unlawful !
  17. I have a wonderful demo mode on my Panasonic SC-HD615MD bookshelf (http://www.minidisc....SC-HD615MD.html) but frankly disturbing when you want your room dark while sleeping.
  18. Yes Pham Cu, but you told me on my personal mail that you cannot find any "Digital Audio Interface Receiver" IC LC89051V in Vietnam.
  19. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah ! I was not aware of that detail !
  20. I don't why, this topic continue day after day to appear in my unread list and yet there is no new post since - mine - and the 27 october.
  21. In fact a door screw is perhaps missing like my grey one
