As well as the x1, Sony also produced the (cmt, I think) ah10. A very weirdly designed bookshelf system - the necessary cabling is all attached to the speakers. CD 'jacket' sized main body looks nice though, available in black and white.

The CC stores in Melbourne, Australia rarely get MD stuff these days :'( and their prices are usually not worth paying. Definitely no bargains like that '780 - great pickup!! I won the same unit in Australia off ebay this year ($51 bid win, but I had to pay heaps for shipping), finally set it up yesterday - C13 read error! Damn :'( On the other hand, I won a Sony dcm-m1 md camcorder from the UK yesterday. £11.50. Item # 121050849853 - check it out

M200/RH1: not a slide eject, instead it has the WORST EJECT EVER!

Have you tried using a splitter to run the radio into the unit while using headphones? Would that work? Re slide ejectors, it might be easier to list the ones that don't ;-) Sony only? Recorders and/or players? SP only? MDLP/hi-md? :-) Danny

The Sony is about 1mm wider than the pana. It will not fit into a panasonic mj97 or similar :'( I guess that's what you would like to be able to do - the pana batteries don't seem to be easy to find, or charge. Hope I've helped Danny

They are a different size as well as being Li-ion. 2) the cheapest on ebay these days are Hong Kong/Chinese/japanese sellers offering 5-packs at about US$70-75. Others might know of websites that may be better. Sometimes there are some available from members on this forum. Hope I've helped Danny
