Europeans: Boost the volume of the NW-HD# series.
mercury_in_flames replied to Christopher's question in Audio
If you have updated your hd5 to the newest firmware, that should take the volume limiter off. If it doesnt seem to have done anything, do the service thing in this thread. -
I dunno about, EVERYthing, Maybe a poll to see what people have?
-
hey what can i say LOL is something i use alot alot haha. Ive always listened to my music really loud since i was 15, thats 5 years ago, i can still hear although my memory is not really up to scratch lately
-
Mostly the sony brand itself. I just have always loved their subtle designs. Thing I own are a micro hifi system, CMT-SE1, md recorder MZ-R909, mz-n910, md deck MDS-JB980/s. For my mp3 player, i chose the hd5, just because i wanted something that played back the atrac files i had previously used for my mz-n910.

haha, my hd5 got a dent in the back lol It doesnt bother me in the slightest as it isnt the exactly the most beautiful player out there, and i always have it in the felt case while using the remote, and it doesnt effect operation.
-
yeah hehe but everyone learns from experience lol well Ive seen all those articles but it just isnt the same. Im getting my hifi system back from repair in about a month and when i get that, I will be listening loud through speakers (80 watts rms per channel) surely thats better?

-

-
ive asked once, but i need 100% clarification, will a JP version psp play UK UMD movies>?
-
hmm well i would love the video thing, for travelling and stuff. Anyone get any screen shots of this thing on the internet?
-
glad ive got an hd5, ive also got about 3 of those standard cables.
-
yep, lower output is right.

mdr-ex81 lol I've always listened to music quite loud, whether i'm losing some of my hearing I dont know, But if its vocals such as enya or something, I can easily listen at the full volume. I always start at around 19, but i tend to add a little more, then a little more, and before i know it, im at the full volume haha. For my r909 its different, with that i listen at around 23/30. My mz-r909 can power audio technica ath-a900's while my hd5 cant even get close to trying. who knows.
-
who?? I do, thats who lol I dont know what my nw-hd5 puts out, but i charge it maybe once every two weeks, I dont use it all the time though, maybe 6 days out of the 14 for about 3 or 4 hours each day. Roughly speaking here. I listen to my hd5 on about 25 alot of the time, and quite often put it on 30/30 for the odd song. It isnt as loud as my mz-r909 that, is for certain. Those quoted batt lifes are bull really, I mean it does say *when listening to atrac 48kb/s tracks.
-
i think its a standard usb port. Any camera shop should sell them. Ask for a mini usb to standard usb cable.
-
yep, it doesnt do folders, and you cant move the order of tracks around on the player intself through the window showing what's on the hd5. If you edit 5 songs to think they are part of 1 album, transfer then realise you need to add one track to it, it might be glitchy and put it in another album even if its the same name album lol. Bit hicky but i just make sure i sort it out before in transfer.
-
ive got an hd5, and its got 1300 songs on it, it doesnt seem to be slower. just my 2 cents.
-
I might be imagining things..But today, I decided to listen to it while it was charging, and it seems LOUDER?? give it a try and let me know if its the same with yours. Also, it seems alot more responsive too, it navigates a lot faster, im definetly not imagining that.
