My computer wasnt sluggish at all when it came to using the program, it just took ages to get all the information off the internet and add it to every single track i was importing, no wonder it is a resource hog, the amount of stuff it has to do just for the artist link thing. Ive got a P4 2.8 ghz , 1 gig ram , xp home laptop. If anyone says connect is better than S.S they deserve to be shot

I;m getting the message please connect compliant software whenever I disconnect the A1000 from sonic stage 3.4 why is this happening>>?? The files work and all but I am i getting this message?

Nevermind, I was being stupid. I wanted to just click all the 'albums' and transfer, when alot of the tracks were wav files.

My sister got an a1000, i want to transfer the tracks that i transfered in the past to my hd5, but its converting the atrac files, why>>??

Lol, I dont really know anyone overseas, and we dont get mail from overseas often enough to keep doing it. I found that the album was just collecting dust. Now days, I never send anyone any mail and they dont send me any just because I use the internet lol. I never send parcels anywhere except for the odd thing I sell on ebay, although I did get some american stamps a few weeks back but I really couldnt be bothered, maybe if they were really nice stamps, and had the album I would've kept them.

Its fine to use non sony batteries if it says its 'suitable for' hd5 or whatever. Just be wary of batteries that could be sony 'knock-offs' pretending to be sony batteries. I've had a few sony knockoff gumstick batteries and they just expanded in my minidisc portables after charging, dodgy stuff.

The only reason why i;d get the a3000 over my hd5 is just because of the higher bit rates it can take now. The reason why I wouldnt is because of the lower batt life, how its more of a hassle to remove the battery, and how the unit looks worn quicker. Sure, ive got a small dent in the back of my hd5, but thats just because i chuck it into my backpack and stuff. I guess its just what you do; if you take care of ur hd5 like an a3000, i think the hd5 would look better for longer, sans scratches. Oh yeah, and BIG one; it CAN use the rm-mc40elk. This means you can keep the hd5 safe in your pocket all the time and not have to get annoyed about only having a few basic operations like on the remote of the a3000.

there are amazon sites for different countries/in different languages. Theres the american amazon.com, UK amazon.co.uk. french amazon.fr etc. Try contacting their customer services dept and ask them which of their sites could accomodate you? or have i lost what ur saying, u mean u have bought stuff from there before and its only not working now??

Bit o.t of me here, but if sony put mpeg4 as the only playable codec on their new pmp then i will have a big rant about it. I wonder how batt life would be affected by using hdd instead of flash>?

ive used connect 5 times or so, have about 15 tracks, but have stopped using it just because of the tendency for you to lose the rights to the tracks all of a sudden.

Try doing a system restore to when it WAS working, I had to do that with my hd5 and it worked for me.

I still wouldnt go for that remote, even if it has a brighter screen. I prefer the 40elk because of the scroll wheel on the remote. Its just easier to use, anyone with both remotes will tell you to just get the 40elk.

thats weird, all the music you had on ur a608 was in ur library? Just do a system restore then, and it should be back to how it was. sorry about the inconvenience this caused.

Just go for the next version, if anything it will be even more stable than what you have already, I'd say. Installing an updated version of sonic stage will most definetly not make you initialize the a608. If she has the version of sonic stage you have now, or version 3.4 there is an option to add copy protection to the music. Only if she has recorded a new song for example in atrac, and not chosen to add copy protection will she be able to share the music with you. If it's an mp3 file that wasn't made by sonic stage, then you she can give you those tracks regardless.

I've been using the felt case and have a small dent in my hd5, trust me, get the case, even if it does make it chunkier. I use the felt one though because Ive got the rm-mc40elk remote and dont really mind about the dent its got, i keep it in my pocket neway.

you have to make sure it does the final bit properly. So do everything EXACTLY as it says in the pic in the above post, and it will work. let someone else try it if you dont seem to be able to get it?
