I don't have this particular unit but am guessing it is probably the Display button on the remote you need to hit during playback to cycle through the display options.

Have you tried completely formatting the disc using the unit itself (instead of just deleting the individual tracks)? Connect the unit to the pc and wait for the unit to appear as available. The insert the disc and try to use the initialize option in Sonic Stage.

4.3 also runs fine on XP in my experience although some people say that they have had issues. You could try re-installing MDAC completely from this link before you go the whole hog and re-install SS: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en

The EU in the model number is indeed for the European model and B does designate the color - in this case black. The silver was only available in Japan. As Bob says the only difference between the EU model and the model sold in the other markets was that the volume output was capped to 4.5mW vs. 5mW on the others.

As A440 said trading physical discs is maybe not as popular as it once was (although that may be a reflection of the interest in the format as a whole). Personally I have traded plenty of music this year either via Rapidshare in Atrac3+ format or on physical discs. We did try to kick start the trades forum earlier this year but didn't get too much of a response. That said, just post a note if you are interested in a trade with what you would like to trade and hopefully somebody can help.

Just picked up a new PDA - was waiting for quite a while for the UK OS version to actually come out in Holland but it arrived today so picked up the HTC Touch Dual with HSDPA & Windows Mobile 6. Also from Amazon arrived the new Coltrane Box set Interplay (following on from last year's Fearless Leader). And finally 5 x 5 packs of TDK Clef discs. Life is good

I had a look at the manual for this unit - http://cgi.sonydrive.jp/pdf_sd/ServiceArea...8031LAM-X1.html I may be wrong but as far as I can see there is no english language option as such but some of the functions do appear in english such as setting the clock / play mode etc..
