It could be a faulty battery - where did you acquire it? The are a few fake gumsticks floating aroud on ebay and the like.

I haven't had any problems with my NH1 on my Vista laptop using SS 4.3 (yet). But I guess I was "lucky" in that it came with Sonic Stage 4.3 pre-installed. What were you getting on the reboot Bob - blue screen or just the app won't start?

As long as they were ripped without copy protection you should be fine. Just re-import either via File => Import => Music File and in the Open files dialog select all the folders, or do it via the Scan Folder option. The only thing you will have to do is re-add all the cover art and date info manually to the albums. The art will either be in the same folder as the tracks for each album as jacket.jpg or in a sub-folder of your library called "fringe"

I'm not sure we need to go as far as deleting posts - all of the forums have descriptions as to the type of content to be found therein. We are there to help out, but at the same time expect a certain degree of common sense. I agree that this particular tread (like many similar ones before it) has wandered a little far.
