  1. Simple Burner 2.x is still supported and runs fine on XP It's just on Vista that it isn't supported.
  2. Unless you previously made a backup from your XP machine of your library that you wish to restore, there's no need to run the backup tool after installing 4.3 on Vista. If you uninstall 4.3 completely, including all the OpenMG Modules, Add-in's etc via control panel, delete all the registry info, remove the program directories, reboot, install 4.3 again, what exactly is the error message you get when you start the application. Also are you installing 4.3 from a download or from a full cd install. You may also want to see this link for some full installers: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showt...mp;#entry117697
  3. Just to clarify SS 4.3 is the only version that runs under Vista. It runs fine on my Vaio laptop using Vista Business. Any version prior to 4.3 is not supported on Vista although you may just be able to get 4.2 to work. Simple Burner is not supported at all on Vista. I suggest you remove all traces of any other versions and re-install 4.3 as per A440's post as the first step then try and address any individual error messages that subsequently arise as a second.
  4. The fact that the music is on 3 seperate physical discs means that in it's current state there will be gaps in the music regardless. Unless the original source was gapless and the current gaps are simply artificial because the music was originally recorded as continuous stream and subsequently split across 3 seperate media, then both the SS or SB methods will result in the same. So I guess either approach is valid.

  12. Lol - that is hilarious. I agree completely - I'm not sure the kind of people who give credence to CNET reviews could be called tech-savvy.
