  1. As far as I am aware the RH1 for all regions is made in Malaysia as Sparda says. We have some pictorials of units from all regions and they all indicate they are made in Malaysia.
  2. Watched Blood Diamond on DVD last night. Very decent film overall, and some bonus material actually worth watching for once, including a great documentary on the diamond trade in Africa.
  3. I would try Discount Discs - they offer free delivery in the UK.

  5. Welcome - It all depends on what model you have. (As you said a few years ago I'm assuming you don't have a Hi-MD device, in which case the short answer is unless you acquire an RH1 then you are limited to uploading in real time) Anyhow see here for full details: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=7070
  6. It's definitely a unique piece (drop me a note Bob if you would like a copy) - I have a couple of his other albums too that are equally interesting. Admittedly this is verging on the ultra-minimal, but the music takes on a life of its own after a while.
  7. Listening to Chris Meloche | Recurring Dreams Of The Urban Myth in Atrac3+ 352k (artist info here ) 1. Loop 6 - (73.22)

  9. SS just picks up the first available drive letter for any attached USB devices. You can't really force it to use one letter over another. 9 times out of ten it'll always use the same letter unless you connect another device first. I would do as Avrin says and remap your network drive to something like Z: or X: For future inquiries relating to non-md devices please refer to our sister forum AtracLife. Cheers.

  11. Congratulations on your purchase and hope you enjoy the new unit.
  12. Karl, thanks for the comments, I've edited slightly the title to include "e-audiobooks" in the sub-title. This way if people search on both strings they will hopefully find your topic. I was in 2 minds where to split it, as the point at which the subject changed was halfway through one post and we can't split a single post into 2. Consequently I had to lose some of your comment for the previous topic. Please feel free to post it again in the other topic. I appreciate the fact you understand one of the reasons we rename topics sometimes is to optimize the searching for other users. There are probably hundreds if not thousands of title renames that most people never even notice

  14. I wasn't expecting such a outrageous (if not hilarious) response to this. I really can't fathom what you think WWII history has to do with Sony Europe cutting up a goat in the name of publicity. Even though I am not Dutch myself you obviously haven't done your research and are just using this thread as an excuse to spout your own brand of "expert opinion". So far in a couple of responses, as far I can see you have made sweeping generalizations against pretty much everyone from the Japanese, "the islamic contingent" as you call it, to most of Western Europe. Anyone who feels the need to declare themselves "a bone fide expert" in something is rarely anything of the kind. I'll leave your rant intact so everyone can enjoy it, but I'll close the thread for now as this is about as silly as it can get.
  15. First of all, I think all of these people getting on their high horse over something that was nothing more than a publicty stunt is completely over the top. Admittedly it was a publicty stunt that may seem in bad taste, but I think this whole discussion is no more than a storm in a teacup. Secondly regarding the the last post I think what you (King Ghidora) wrote has absoutely nothing to do with the question at hand so I suggest you tone down the exaggerated language and step down from soap box for a moment.

  20. Hi and welcome - you will need to use Sonic Stage which you can either download in it's version 4.0 incarnation via the full installer in our downloads and then upgrade to version 4.2 via Sony's support site which provides a web installer. Or you can try and go for the full-blown 4.2 or 4.3 from one of the links provided in this thread: (if you do use one of those links also make sure you download the drivers for NetMD devices which will need to be installed first.) http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=18671
  21. Looks like we surpassed 56k sometime today. Thanks for your ongoing support and contributions.
