If your files aren't copy-protected, you could just copy all the *.oma files in your Walkman to your computer, but they (I think) wouldn't be tagged, and the file names would be all numbers and letters.
-
I don't think so . . . I think the only playlist(s) you can make in your Walkman on the go is the Bookmarks one, but you can only throw in up to one hundred songs to the Bookmarks list.
-
Select All Tracks view (assuming that whatever you have on the computer is on your Walkman), create a new playlist, select all the tracks in All Tracks view, put them in the playlist, then import the playlist to your Walkman? O.O
-
Maybe you should burn the disc at 4x? O.O
-
Re-rip the track if you still have the original source?
-
How about downloading SonicStage (seeing that it's compatible with the NW-A1000 and see if it works with it?
-
Isn't that Bookmarks?
-
When they come out with wireless earbuds I'll buy them. I can't use clip-on headphones - they never stay on.
-
Can't you just change to All Tracks view, look for the tracks in which ou want to make a compliation, select those tracks and then check their box as one instead of doing it individually? O.O
-
I think you need to have Windows 98 Second Edition in order to run SonicStage.

I have VPT on my NW-HD1. My thoughts on the NW-70x players? I. Want. One. I fiddled around with one in the Sony Central shop in the city, but didn't really get into it much. I got a kick out of the colour OLED, though. xD The player looks hot. But my parents won't let me get one, 'cause I already have a 'MP3 player' . . . "

Bit hard to use HE-ACC when your device doesn't support it.
-
You can make Playlists within SonicStage and just transfer them over to the NW-HD5. At the top of your Library, there should be some box somewhere with Create/Edit Playlist next to it. Click on that box to make new playlists.

Atrac3plus is standard. So 256kbps should be there somewhere. Really, it depends on you and your ears. Try a couple of bit rates and see what you like. I can deal with atrac3plus at 64kbps but some people can't stand anything under 192kbps.
-
You can unprotect your Atrac files by converting them (same bitrate and everything), but unchecking the copy protect box at the bottom of the dialog box.

A bud. O____O So if you lost, for example, two small earbuds, you had to pay $20 (plus $3.30 postage and handling). Maybe they tried to slug me $10 a bud 'cause the model I said I lost the earbuds for was the MDR-NC11A noise-cancelling earphones I had borrowed from my friend (I lost a bud at UTS "). But it doesn't matter anymore - the packet of replacement earbuds I got from my cousin has three pairs - one large, one medium and one small. And it only costs US$7.99, or about AUD$10. (But my cousin gave them to me for free. ) I've been using the small earbuds at the moment. Medium sounds exactly the same. xD I haven't tried large yet, but I doubt I need to. Edit: I tried large - fell out of my ears within five seconds of shoving it into my ears.

The service manual won't tell you. As far as the history of Sony's flash-drive MP3 Walkmans go, you can't do a volume unlock on any of them.
-
It'll only last for forty hours if you turn it on, and leave it to play. Browsing and fiddling with the player will decrease the battery life. (And if you have the backlight on. ) Forty hours is quoted for Atrac3plus at 48kbps.
-
I got my MDR-EX51s! x100 And the replacement cushions. (Can't believe that the Sony spare parts shop is asking for AUD$10 a bud.) The only bad thing is that they're white and pink, 'cause they were the only colour in stock. xD Oh well. I haven't had time to listen to it properly yet. xD
-
Really? O.O It looks larger than my NW-HD1.
-
Sorry, but I don't think you can import atrac files from atrac discs. I think the atrac files on the disc have a different extension to that of the atrac files on the computer.
-
The 00007180 error code simply means that you already have the music file in your Library.
-
O_O atrac3plus 192kbps works with the NW-HD1. I just transferred a song in atrac3plus at 192kbps and it didn't convert or anything. And it plays, too. My NW-HD1 isn't one of the factory-upgraded firmware units.
-
Yeah, like me. Was given the option to upgrade to a NW-HD5, but declined, 'cause it looked ugly in red (the only colour they had available). I liked the internal specifications, though.
-
Good luck in finding it new, then. O.O It got replaced by the NW-A3000 . . . Maybe you should take up on that $229 offer you posted before . . .
