  1. We don't have a Connect store in Australia. I think that you can use the player on other people's computers, but you can't transfer tracks back to your computer or something.
  2. Don't forget that the NW-E005 has an inbuilt USB connector, so there's no need for an extra USB cable. The downside is that it's a one line screen . . .
  3. You can download SonicStage CP (version 4.0) instead of Connect Player, and use that instead. SonicStage seems to be more stable than Connect Player, I've heard . . .
  4. I think it's your Play Mode. It must have been set at a mode. Did you (or someone else) set the play mode to something other than normal? Can't be a track/system error, as you were able to play Track 4 before playing Tracks 1-3.
  5. Between two tracks? Did it turn off after the first track? That could be due to the play mode. Or did it start playing the second track, then suddenly went silent? That happened to me a number of times as the track had a system error. If that's the case, then transfer the offending track again, and see if it works. Have you tried playing those two tracks again?
  6. Guess it only works for the NW-E00x series, and no others.
  7. Maybe you could try and convert all your songs before transferring them to the NW-HD1, instead of converting them as they are being transferred?
  8. Groups that start with 'The *insert word*' to be listed under 'T' like in the previous version of SonicStage. e.g. The Rasmus is listed under 'R' instead of 'T'. I can't be stuffed manually editing all the groups that start with 'The' so that they are listed under 'T'.

    No more NW-A3000B?

Yeah. Domayne at Liverpool has them too, as of last month. I haven't seen any in the playground at school, and I doubt I ever will. " All I see are iPods. Bing Lee at Rhodes and Dick Smith Electronics in Fairfield still sell the NW-HD1. O.O At $399. But I think there's only one for sale in the entire shop . . . Silly people. You can get the latest player for the same price. Who's going to buy old technology at new prices? (Probably me, when mine breaks. )
  10. That happens to my NW-HD1 (the charging despite the fact that it's full aspect). But it doesn't keep on charging for another 30 minutes . . . about 10 or so minutes. I think it depends on what kind of room conditions you charge it in . . .
  11. O.O I always drain my NW-HD1 before charging it up. Is that a bad thing? The battery life seemed to decrease when I charged it when it was half-drained, so I decided to only charge it when it was fully drained.

    No more NW-A3000B?

We don't have the NW-A1200 here, nor do we get the NW-A3000B. But I noticed that two months ago, when I paid a visit to the Sony Central shop in the city, they didn't have any NW-A1000/NW-A3000 models for customers to test on the shelves. Only the old NW-E400/NW-E500 series.
  13. Were I to buy a new Sony flash-drive player, I think I would buy the NW-E00x series. Paying an extra $100 for a bunch of fitness-related features? I can't see this going off in Australia (where it's expected to go on sale in October).
  14. I read somewhere that when they say a drive is 20GB, it's 'cause they measured it using 1GB = 1000MB (the market rate or something like that). But in reality, 1GB=1024MB, so the 20GB drive in reality is 18.6GB.

    Pls Help

Good to know that your problem is solved.

    Pls Help

Nope. ATRAC3plus is Sony's digital music format.
  17. Maybe you should upgrade to SonicStage CP and update your firmware? *scratches head*
  18. I use low bitrate songs on a 20GB device. I use atrac3plus at 64kbps. Doesn't really matter what bitrate for me, as my left ear's hearing isn't as good as my right ear's hearing. And the iPod's sound quality sucks. CNet Australia did an article on the best sounding MP3 players, and the NW-HD5 came out on top: http://www.cnet.com.au/mp3players/mp3playe....htm?ref=search
  19. You could do this ever since they allowed people to disable copy protection in version (I think) 3.4. Which was about a year ago.
  20. Larger capacity models to come in other colours besides silver and purple. The smaller capacity models have a vareity of colours to choose from, whereas the larger capacity models only have two colours to choose from. I want blue.
  21. Except in this case, the beginning of the second track is added to the end of the first track, instead of the end of the first track being added to the beginning of the second track.
  22. Did what you asked . . . And I did get part of signal #1 in #2 and part of #2 in #3. O.O
  23. Isn't that more expensive, though? I'm planning to get the MDR-EX51LP (when I have enough money >.<), after borrowing my friend's noise cancelling MDR-NC11A earphones. I love the silicon earbuds! Only downside is that you have to have super clean ears. " I can't go back to the cheap earphones . . . it feels weird. O.O Does anyone know how long the cord is? I've been looking through my Pulse magazines, and it used to be 1.5m, but now it's 1.2m. O.O
  24. I find that Sony earphones made in Korea are the best.
  25. Peh. I don't think Australia offers any firmware upgrades for the NW-HD1 here. Oh well. I like the Atrac3plus format anyway. I can live with the fact that I have to convert all the MP3s I download into .oma files.
