What would make you trust it?
-
How many of you still use it, and if so - why do you prefer it over Refault or the other skins? It's the least attractive out of all of them in my opinion.
-
Ah, thanks for informing me of that bug. To be honest, I grow tired of the old default skin and I will most likely be removing it soon. The differences between it and Refault are not really that hysteric and would be acceptable over time if just given a chance. Plus, having four themes going at the same time is a bit of an overhead that not many semi-large forums like to endure for obvious reasons.

ANZAC? I'm too lazy to Google. I implemented just about all of your recommendations from that other thread - I think the Downloads section looks real sharp now. I'll be adding more goodies this week, hopefully a Sonicstage 3.1 installer too. Yes, I said Sonicstage 3.1 installer.

Sony has problems for sure trying to keep MD relevant, but I have no doubt that it will serve for many a moon before it's finally retired. Whilst many of your points are valid, it's still very attractive when priced appropriately compared to flash type players. I don't think MD will ever be comprable to DAP's with high density, unless they make a big leap within a decade's time with disc density, which is feasible. With new leadership afoot at Sony, it's entirely possible that slowly MD will become an even moreso multi-codec device that will foster attractiveness to the average Joe. We must remember that us people here, that post at these types of venues, live in an accelerated technological world that not all of society has caught up to yet. What's dismal to you Cori could still be neat to others, if they would even know what we're talking about. I think that Hi-MD and the MD format is doing better than ever before, because I know for damn sure I've never seen it so bustling. I've never seen so many news entries that were this interesting before in one year - and it's barely halfway through! I'm keeping my chin up whilst the ride is good for sure, as I've never seen things like this in any prior generation.

Yeah, but it's so one sided. Something you'll learn in college is that there are two sides to everything, and that if you post things like this it'll seem overtly biased and undigestable; there are no well-reasoned conclusions (or solutions for that matter) - whilst I believe in relativism, this is more or less a helion's gun getting as many shots off as possible. Standing on the soapbox and telling everyone that this is old tech and we all need to move on..really has nothing to do with MP3 compability. Wasn't this about the introduction of that and not the other woes such as low mW output, MD format being old, etc? It's not like I don't agree with you, it's just that you've stated it so many times in so many different ways that it's seemingly the same rhetoric over and over just wrapped differently. p.s. I love this forum, it's where we play some real hardball. Geek shit like this cracks me up, because if we talked like this in real life I know for sure we'd be laughing our asses off afterwards.

Nah, see the "Forum" text link in the main header of the Downloads section? You can't miss it.

We had a ton of registrations this last week, really cool stuff. Something like 110 in two days. I imagine having a direct register link on the main site in the last "Forum Focus" had some assistance in the matter, heh. p.s. For the record, three new themes, a Gallery, and a Download section has been added.

Live Recording Archive Now Available For Members!

Yeah mate, I realized that after I thought about it - probably will make it a sticky or an addendum to this topic. -
OS = operating system, aka windowsupdate.microsoft.com, click on express install and install anything it finds. Actually, why don't you read the rules at the top of the forum and post accordingly.

What version of DirectX do you have? [go to start, run, put in "dxdiag"] What version of MDAC and JET do you have? [download this and it'll report it] Is spybot the only anti-spyware you use? p.s. Spare me the "I'm not doing the basic dumb things, Kurisu." - we know each other better than this. I'm just isolating variables.

2nd Generation Sony Hi-MD Pictorial/Review Roundup
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in News
From people who have actually handled the unit. -
Nope me, you've stated exactly what I was trying to say.
-
Were all of the tracks of the same format [pcm, hi-sp, etc]? Did you have any other programs running at the time? Any other USB devices attached?
-
Tiesto, if your reply was any more stern you'd be crossing into the underline formatting!

First Recordings Made..need Some Assistance!
Christopher replied to deadwing's topic in Live Recording
Try right clicking and saving it. Either way worked for me, just for the record. -
No problem, and welcome aboard!

Hrm, I'm getting the same results for the mp3 converter as well. I might as well take it out of the downloads section until they fix this issue. As for #1, I simply found that out by going to C[or whatever]:\Documents and Settings\All Users\SonicStage\Packages\Optimized Files\. This is easily available for you to figure by right clicking on the file in question within Sonicstage, and then going to properties, and then clicking on the "file info" tab and then selecting the relevant file type.

I called my old T610 the Brick Phone, because it could never get service..

Not sure what to tell you, this is what I see: [attachmentid=221] ["live recording" would be the thing you click on] Possibly you may want to try clearing your cache, etc. There are a few bugs with Gallery I have to get sorted out next week, but I don't believe they are associated with that.

One misconception: You don't have to format old discs. You can still play back old discs, and even write to them [only via Sonicstage] with the RH10. p.s. Yes, post more! Where abouts are you in Phil? My Dad used to live in Zamboanga Del Norte..
