I'm answering a bunch of NetMD questions today, aren't you lucky. Welcome! Anyway, I want you to uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq [registry edits and all]. I then want you to install Sonicstage 2 ONLY and if you still get this message, download this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results...&DisplayLang=en ..and the one relevant to your operating system. Good luck..

Try uninstalling [via the directions in the NetMD faq in this forum], and then reinstalling the offical client off the connect.com site. If that doesn't work try a different computer..?

Hiya, and welcome. What kind of bitrates are these files? What kind of files are they? I would convert them to *.wav if possible..
-
Welcome. It's not bad, but if I were you I'd look at the Sharp IM-DR400-420 series. For about 30 pounds more, you'd get a truely functional unit. The Aiwa is a budget model - what are your primary uses of Minidisc going to be?

Welcome Kamber. No offense, but have you read the manual or looked at the help documentation first that came with the program? I think it would answer alot of your inital questions.. Regardless, if you've determined that your program is no longer functioning, try uninstalling exactly how it prescribes in the NetMD faq [in this forum], and then give Sonicstage 2 or Simpleburner 2 [you can download it via links in this forum] a shot and see what your luck is.

Hi, Shoes - welcome. Uninstall everything [even the registry edits] via the directions in the NetMD faq. Then I want you to install the ONLY the drivers that are associated with the unit [no beatjam, etc]. After that, download + install Sonicstage 2/Simple Burner 2 [via threads in this forum] and see what luck you have.

There's limited support because Sony won't touch it and only few have mastered the EEPROM settings of these units. If you encounter this problem, the only thing I can really recommend is to reset the settings and try again, or buy an external battery charger [cheap].

Sonicstage 2 is a good improvement from the previous version. You're comparing iTunes, v. 4.5, to a Sony SS v.2 software - give it some time and perhaps things may come around. Sonicstage 2.1 will apparently allow us to record PCM music and upload it to Hi-MD/MD formatted into Hi-MD mode discs. That's a good v.1 improvement already! The software is fine to me. About the usb cables, though..the NH1 [and the higher end family] uses that proprietary cable, I believe. Not sure about the NH900..

cladel, I merged your original Best buy order thread to the Pre-Order sticky thread.

Moving this to the correct forum. If you don't have luck with us, I advise you try a forum dedicated to the product in question. Whilst we try our best here to troubleshoot Sonicstage issues, we can't cover all devices supported within.

Still not possible, but you could use a Xitel DG2 if you must employ USB - that device only does 1:1 transfers, though.

Sonic stage 2.0, Database updating error plz help

You uninstalled exactly how it states in the NetMD faq? If so, then perchance do you have another computer you could try installing SS 2 only on? -
Welcome, friend. I think you may want to try putting one track in LP4 - perhaps one that isn't so desireable as the rest? Here's a calculator to assist you, if necessary: http://ravn.net/md/mdcal.htm

48 hrs. of NetMD woes. A technical adventure.
Christopher replied to reaproductions's topic in Minidisc
Yes, that is correct. The technical limitations of NetMD will not allow you to do so. You could not transfer the tracks you've already recorded, though..only tracks recorded on a Hi-MD disc or a MD reformatted in Hi-MD mode can be uploaded. -
Try *.png next time, or send me the image in question and I'll probably make it work. Noob :rasp:

Did you download the file that I linked to? I think you need to re-reread everything I've said in this thread. -

Christopher replied to reaproductions's topic in Minidisc
Yes, but if you employ a Hi-MD unit this wouldn't be a problem. Make sure you do your homework before you buy, ya know.. -
We had a hit increase of 1.2 million from last month for a total of 2.7 in May. That's excellent. I will be hiring a moderator or two, and I've already done so. Welcome skytherx to the moderating team.

From that list [which is a good e-tailer to choose from], the MDS-JB980 would be hella nice, or the JE780.

Wait a sec, you're trying to transfer music you've recorded to the computer? That is impossible if you employ NetMD. You can upload the content regardless, but it would have to be in a 1:1 scenario either in an analog scenario [via male to male stereo cable] or a MD deck with a digital out [about $100 - $150 on eBay] and a sound card with a digital in [about $35]. Hope this clears the confusion..and welcome. -
Have a Hi-MD question that doesn't need a thread?
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in Minidisc
The NH900 is made of aluminum and plastic. It's about 7g heavier than the NH600, but I'm sure overall it'll feel like it has a better construction. -
When are HiMD players going to be available?
Christopher replied to hutcheezsad2's topic in Minidisc
Hello, and welcome. I wouldn't doubt that they would arrive around late June or mid-July for you. We're getting it late July in the US. -
Sonic stage 2.0, Database updating error plz help
Christopher replied to Stunner01225's topic in Minidisc
Uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq [registry edits and all], and then install Sonicstage 1.5 only and see how it works. -
No, and this has been answered in your thread, slesh. Try not to double post, please. Thanks.

You should return it, as it cannot use a USB interface nor really have functionality with the software you've mentioned. You'd need a NetMD unit.
