That is completely false. You cannot digitally upload via usb on the unit, you could only do it digitally to a computer if you had a deck/etc with digital out and a soundcard with digital in, and that would be 1x. Welcome to the forums, btw.

jade, good suggestion. I need to actually go into the formatting files and do it, as it's not something I can just input through the forums [if I did, it changes the link colors for all link]. I may go with something to better match the forums, though..

One sec. Just uninstall like so: ..and then install Sonicstage 2 only. Don't worry about the md5's..they're not required. Just install the software and be content.

How to blank TRprotected discs? Don't say it can't be done.
Christopher replied to Patchouli's topic in Minidisc
Easy there. It is indeed a pain to try and erase these discs that cannot unless you have a NetMD unit, but I will note that some decks and bookshelf systems can defeat this and erase the discs. What equipments do you have? -
Did you have a prior installation of Sonicstage installed before you installed SS 2?

Hiya, and welcome to the forums. Anyway, here's information about digital amps: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?p=19090 And when will Sharp Hi-MD come out? Probably late this year, if not early next. Sony's definitely going to have the upper hand for a little while.

Have a Hi-MD question that doesn't need a thread?
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in Minidisc
Beige [the background color] = green [link color]? If you want it to be something different, say something in the suggestions forum. :rasp: btw JD24, WINE made a major advancement the other day and soon future versions will be able to run any windows program without any real error. Exciting times for Linux.. -
After a few optimizations, the speed seems tolerable now. I am pretty sure that this forum runs on a dedicated server, but Eric will answer all questions when he comes back from vacation.

Okay, finally fixed the damned formatting error that existed with the forum index > forum > subforum > thread in topics. You may or may not notice this, but I did and it bothered the heck out of me. As you've noticed, we now have an affiliate banner to audiocubes.com on the top of the forums. If you click this link and purchase something at audiocubes, it will give us a small sum [comission] and that money will go towards supporting the forums. I will be adding additional sites as I figure out rotating banners and such. I'll try to make it as unobtrusive as possible. I removed the links section. Just wasn't doing anything for me. Removed the link to minidisc.org + the "Minidisc Community" listing above it. We all know this is the forums of minidisc.org, and we all know the address for it. No need to re-emphasize it. There have been some speed issues as of late, and I'm making sure that the architecture of the forums is not at fault [it is, in a sense]. Hopefully we can get a hardware upgrade soon, as Hi-MD's upcoming arrival will surely equal a population explosion for the Minidisc community as a whole.

Please help! I need driver/software for Sony Net MD MZ-N505
Christopher replied to Galeg's topic in Minidisc
Calm down there, buddy. Welcome to the forums. First off, please read this: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4171 ..and follow the uninstall directions. Then I want you to download and install Sonicstage 2, which is available here: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4210 Try reading the topics in this forum first before asking questions. :rasp: -
MZ-NH1 - Release date and what to do if it's not out in time
Christopher replied to a1steak's topic in Minidisc
Welcome to the forums, a1steak. I think that you can swing the unit before you depart. I would definitely recommend that for steadfast arrival, you pre-order it now. What e-tailer were you thinking about ordering from? -
Welcome to the forums. First off, uninstall everything. Re-install iceeedtea's build without any other action [i.e. downloading stuff from Sony], and then get back to me.

I'm getting headaches while listening to music(505 earbuds)
Christopher replied to xenon219's topic in 'phones
I'm moving this to 'phones. Welcome to the forum xenon, and please try not to double-post next time. -
I sent an e-mail to the webmaster. He's on vacation right now but he should get back to this by the beginning of next month. On a personal note, I am interested in newer hardware like you guys. I have no problems donating for such, either. I do wonder though if it's something I've overlooked with the architecture of the forums, or if it's the server itself. You did mention somewhat high ping rates, though.. You guys have to remember that minidisc.org pulls an inane amount of hits, btw.

Possibly. This sounds like a software issue. Can you ask him to be a little more specific?
-
Welcome to the forums. Anyway, you cannot use this device with a portable unit, as it is for decks only. Check out this thread: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t...hlight=pclkmn20 ..and also, try using the search function next time. Thanks!
-
That is correct; your head-unit is a SP-only unit. Here's some more information about it, and welcome to the forums. http://www.minidisc.org/part_Pioneer_MEH-P5150.html

When will the world realize that MD (Hi-MD) is happening?
Christopher replied to mikey c's topic in Minidisc
It is lossless indeed. -
Install this first: http://www.lazydog.clara.net/drivers/net_md/netmd.zip Here's a link to a 40mb Sonicstage 1.5.0.6 file: http://www.mp3-player.de/download/software...tage1506_en.zip

Have a Hi-MD question that doesn't need a thread?
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in Minidisc
You're not bothering me. I wouldn't have made this thread otherwise. Welcome to the forums, bud. -
There is nothing else other than what you've stated, but in due time as the popularity of Hi-MD increases these types of devices will come steadfast. You'll just have to be patient.. Also, there is no word of a Hi-MD car unit..yet, but it seems like a real possibility to me.

Welcome to the forums. Did you have a previous version of Sonicstage/OpenMG installed before you installed Sonicstage 2?

Welcome to the forums. Virtual Phone Technology, or VPT, is a type of sound "effect" that is supposed to add depth to the sound. There are usually three or four different effects: studio, live, club, arena. These different choices are basically predefined EQ settings which try to replicate what the music would sound like in that type of venue. Sharp has delved into this as of late, most noteably with the 1-bit digital amp portable units. It's more or less a gimmick to me..

Welcome to the forums. You may possibly have too many tracks. What bitrate are you encoding them in? Do you know if it's LP2 or LP4?
