  1. Oops, it's early here. Well, I'd have to go with the MZ-NH900. I think that was probably one of the best units ever created in terms of price and ability, but as a recording device it does falter slightly because of the extremely small RW/FF buttons -- why the hell didn't they implement that into the scroll wheel instead?
  2. Have a good birthday, MZ-NH1! Don't get too sloshed. Be sure to tell us how it all goes.
  3. I have updated the inital post in this topic with uploading instructions, thanks to greenmachine!
  4. I would have to say it's probably the DS8. When it debuted, the entire landscape and game changed forever. This was a very crucial optimization to the Minidisc format because it gave rich color to the sound and strengthened battery life signifigantly.
  5. To buy non- Hi-MD units at this point will not lead to an optimal experience unless your severely limited by budget.
  6. I encourage these types of discussions because there is far too much equalizer bashing across the 'net. I think choosing coloration that is pleasing to your ears should be a standard; to believe that we all have ears that can find the default settings with no equalizer acceptable is absurd. Everyone is different with hearing and what is considered satisfactory cannot be regulated. I like +3 +2 +1 + 2 + 3 + 4 on the NW-HD3 I listen to..
  7. Yes, realtime is the only true solution here, but emulation is a different story -- it can be done, if you have the right software. This is discussed in one of the FAQ's in the software forum.
  8. I agree with Greg; you may also find this remote on eBay as well.
  9. I'll comment when I can get a stable installer that actually works.
  10. I'm copying the contents of that post to the first post in this topic. Thank you for registering here and helping, Castar. It pains me to see this back and forth notion between AVForums and ATRACLife because it's difficult for everyone to be on the same page. More of you should come over here, we won't bite.
  11. ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION REVOLVING AROUND INSTALLING CONNECT MANUALLY MUST GO HERE: http://www.atraclife.com/index.php?showtopic=416
  12. I have moved the subsequent review of the NW-A3000 by SimonGrafftey to a more organized topic here: http://www.atraclife.com/index.php?showtopic=412 This topic is old news now, so I shall close it.
  13. Any chance you can snag us a picture or even sample the unit? I'd love to see it and learn more about this "2nd generation" digital amplifier.
  14. Welcome to the forums, macalloa. I think that this is probably a SP-only unit, as Casio didn't market any products that supported MDLP from what I can recall. Yes, a picture would be keen -- spy shots with a cameraphone, maybe?
  15. VIP's (this may change), Premium Members, Moderators and Admin do not see an ad placement that is located after every top post in a topic.
  16. I may change the size of the ads and make them a little smaller. I've tried to blend them in the best way possible, excluding the Sony ad within it. It was hard for me to read your intent as I haven't seen you in a while. Surely you can understand.
  17. I need money for CES 2006 as I have to pay for it from my own pocket -- yes Dex, we're going to CES on Jan. '06. Remember that MZ-RH10 I bought you for your good work long ago? It was from the ad revenue. Remember the hundreds of dollars (collectively) I've spent on skins and forum software to make this one of the most advanced and best looking forums around? It was from the ad revenue. Remember the hundreds of hours I've put into this place? Surely 10 lines of extra scrolling can be justified. I'll leave this open -- I await your reply.

    I need help

Nice mate, glad to hear everything is okay.
  19. Nope, it's not available yet, but it should be soon.
  20. The new Walkmans are live in the UK! UPDATE: Users have found a way to install Connect Player manually through official Sony resources. It's an ugly procedure, but does work. No official installer has been released..yet. Time for a flood of screenshots (click on them to make them larger). More is to come this week, including user manuals for the new Walkmans. Various Library and Playlist 'shots: Preferences: Rolloff_calculator.zip Obligatory drag n' drop 'shot: Some thoughts: Connect Player and Sonicstage will not run at the same time. Connect Player's ATRAC files easily import into Sonicstage as well, but we're not so sure about that statement, vice-versa. We also have recieved troubling news that no device (even the NW-HD1/2/3/5, PSP, etc) except the new Walkmans will be compatible with Connect Player -- even in the latest builds of Connect they are not. Sony is apparently trying to start with a completely clean slate, so to speak. A user by the name of SimonGrafftey has posted his thoughts on Connect Player within the forums, and we feel the words are appropriate (we can't assume that all software experiences will be the same for a new user, however): Read more of Simon's review, here.
  21. Enough of this -- you both know better.
  22. Welcome, mercenary. State your systems specs according to the rules.
  23. Yeah, it's definitely not in Simple Burner. This is only available through Sonicstage 3.3.
