No, that is a completely seperate issue that has no relevance whatsoever to Sonicstage.

Connect Player is in its infancy and they need something to supplement the masses until it's stable, so they basically threw some keen features of that into SS.

You may also want to try reinstalling via the directions in the FAQ, as per the rules of this forum.

Convert everything through Sonicstage -- simple as that. Do not try and do this process with other programs such as the wav conversion tool or the mp3 conversion tool. Your changing directions here, so let's make sure we're all on the same page. Are you trying to convert something you recorded live with your Hi-MD unit, or are you trying to convert your mp3's into ATRAC files? If so, this can all be done via Sonicstage. I recommend reading the help documentation within the program, it can definitely assist you through either process.

Make sure you backup your files via the backup utility, of course.

It is also a shame we cannot record with 352kbps ATRAC3plus via the units. It better not be like that next gen.

Good summation; would've been interesting to hear if there were variances on other music but that doesn't take away from the review or anything. Does anyone else not detect a different between normal and high quality modes? Perhaps if we organize a consensus..

Well, Olive should be back in place the same time as the other Default we had, next week. Creamcycle may take a while. I'm a bit disappointed it's taken this long, however, but apparently the CSS for all styles has been compressed 50-75% and is really dynamite in appearance. It will be like the old template, but so much more appealing with it's new characteristics. The large numbers will be present in Olive, as the designer has decided all skins in the series should have it.

Has anyone given their thoughts on these new alter-egos? Would be interesting..

Quick reply restored a good bit of my sanity. I really do regret delving into the new version so quickly though, because I'll still have to wait a while before the other skins are ready (olive + creamcycle). (Good job with the wink )

I think Sony realizes that they've really connected with this new "Walkman" -- it has support for all flavors of ATRAC, MP3, WMA, etc. and features playback and searching capabilities never before seen in any device. A rating systems based on your usage is brilliant, not really sure why this hasn't been done before (correct me if I'm wrong). I expect this thing to be pushed alot and for it to succeed a great deal this holiday season.

The default skin we used to have will be back by next week -- thank god.
