  1. http://www.worth1000.com/entries/209000/209374kPro_w.jpg Hey TC, you might like this one Bob
  2. I love worth1000, they do a great job, that being said I want one, it is incredible Bob
  3. Sonic stage should recognize that you have a device pluggedin, and with it recognized it should give you an option of trandferring to MD as well, you could try a reinstall of SS to see if that helps, anyone else out there with Vista, Net MD and 4.3 to help out!! Bob
  4. Are you using Vista? Simple burner won't work with Vista, I don't know about other OS's, if you don't have vista, get rid of 4.3. You have to give SS something to transfer for it to work, either let it create a library, or import a cd, then once it's in the transfer box, hit the transfer arrow. I'm not sure if you'res is MDLP, or SP, for now just try a simple transfer. Your unit is a downloader, and it is a one way street, you can't put anything from the MD back into the puter. Good luck, Bob
  5. Hi, Is that a 520, rather than a 5200? What version of sonic stage do you have? You should have at minimum 3.4, or up. Make sure you are using a 74 or 80 minute disc, plug everything in, puter should recognize you have a device plugged in, SS should have the details, you may have to build a library, if you don't want to do that, import from a directory, or use simple burner to direct transfer a cd to the unit. Good luck, Bob
  6. It's interesting how people talk about the "quality and cleanliness" of MD, and then you want to muddy it up with huge bass. Personally I like the "euro" sound better, with a balance of all. Dancefloor sound isn't the only sound, listen to a string quartet, no bass, but good sound. I don't mind a thump when it's called for, but a balanced sound is just more natural to me. JMHO Bob
  7. Watched Pink Floyd's " Pulse " lst night great memories of the 94 show in Edmonton that they played, what a band!! Today just finished " Calle 54 " a latin jazz cd, Tito Puente, Gato Barbieri, Chacho Valdez, Elian Elias, and more, not as much focus on the artist as Buena Vista, but enough to make it interesting, great jazz Bob
  8. Just finished David Byrne and Brian Eno's ne album "Everything that happens will happen today", marvelous record, and now I'm listening to Eno's Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy, a good trip down memory lane, digital from the hard drive, analogue from the speakers!!! Bob BTW TC, that Kenwood is very fine
  9. In your option box there should be a box for deleting after transfer, make sure it is not checked Bob
  10. Welcome to the machine, glad you've rediscovered MD, thanks for kickstarting my memories of Hiroshima, great group, have a few of their albums in Canada, have to find some, Take care, Bob
  11. shouldn't that be in the classified section? Good luck on the sale Bob
  12. This holiday and hurricane have depleted my traveling budget this year, and I will need extra yen for places like hard-off. I'm trying for a couple of better job options on the island, and if they pan out, should be able to make it mid to late 2009 Bob
  13. Ray, you will love it, it expands on the music of the CD, as well as bio's the main player's. If there is a down side, there is a tad too much focus on Ry Cooder, but he put it together, and there can never really be to much Ry Cooder. When you see Ry and his son on the motorcycle coming up to Egrem, that is the area I spend most of my time in Havana, Hope you enjoy it
  14. there is a pull down menu in the middle between the too transfer boxes that let you set your transfer, you can also go to preferences and set it through there, It should automatically set itself to legacy if you put in a regular un-Hi-MD formatted disc Bob
  15. It's not often I'll quit a movie part way through, but I had to do it with Lightspeed, could find nothing redeeming, waste of $7.00 at the sale bin at the store, stay away, after that I felt I had to revisit an old friend, so in went Buena Vista Social Club, said it before, what memories of Havan, seems I recognize more places everytime I watch it, see it again if you haven't seen it in a while, if you haven't, you are in for a treat Bob
  16. Nice quaint little seaside shanty, just like Little Cayman, almost, maybe, just a little !!! Thanks for sharing Bob
  17. I don't know about the DLL, but my puter had similar problems last year with SS, ended up my memory wasn't fully seated, caused all sorts of problems, try for simple firts Bob
  18. just got back online so I missed all that excitement, followed your link to sonyinsider, very nice, keep all the good work Bob
  19. Isn't the NH1 a beauty, took mine to Edmonton to record some of the Edmonton Folk Music Festival, charged all my batteries up for good power, put in a bunch of empty discs, was waiting for our plane in Chicago to get to Edmonton when I saw my wife talking to a group of people. Came back and said it was a group from Africa coming to play the festival, went over and introduced myself, got lucky and found the leader of the group, called "Habib Koite and Bamada" became wonderful friends, turned out they were one of the first acts to play, got a good spot in front of the stage, tried to be nonchalant about getting the equipment out, and no Mic, damn, still in Cayman??!!@@#@ Heard them play, and instantly became one of my favorites, bought two albums, autographed by Habib, his new one called Afriki, and a live one called Foly!.get them if you can, they are from Mai and are excellent Bob
  20. Got no tv after the excitement last weekend, just got power on, so I watched Princess Bride on Monday, and The God's must be Crazy 1 and 2 last night Bob
  21. Thanks TC, I was away in Canada till Aug 20, when I came back my internet flew south on me, just got it fixed today, then came Gustav, a little category 3, 130 + winds for six hours, quite a ride, all things considered, minimal damage to the house, blew a door out, lost some shingles, etc. Island faired fairly well, all the docks got wiped out as usual, one of the resorts got hit quite hard, lost a roof, bungalows damaged from falling trees. The weather people were very wrong on cat 1, but all they are concerned about is collateral damage to the States, not what happens on a small island. It's good to be back Bob
  22. Happy B'day to percussive and jasperjones, have a great one guys, Bob
  23. Hi Chris, Try disabling quick start. should solve your problem Bob
