another option with a Sony car deck is the coonect2 adapter which you can control your md from the car deck, it works with my NH600 and the NH1 and sounds tres good Bob
-
Great reply, plus there are enough chances to get extra equipment. I do like the live for today though, life changes fast. Bob

Guy in china has a couple of interesting MD items, #140285253224 is an NH1 EH50 and EH70, a couple of days to go, was at $1.00, but $135 to ship to the staes, you guys in his area would probably have better shipping rates. He includes a bunch of discs as well. He also has a pink EH50 for reasonable price as well, check his other items tab Bob The link is http://cgi.ebay.com/THREE-SONY-HiMD-MZ-NH1...A1%7C240%3A1318 but he just put the buy it now to $500.00, the EH50 is $70.00

Happy Birthday raintheory, keep on ticking, Take it easy and have a good one Bob

probably have about 300, 1/3 at work, a few in the car, and the rest at home, always looking for the deals that give their discs away with the units, find some neet music that way too. Bob

I would like a portable a little bigger than an NH1 and a bit smaller than an MZ 1, with optical in and out, RCA jacks with proper meters and a less restrictive SS that would let me put and retrieve any music file, and Simple Burner to work with Vista. Linux support would be nice. A home unit and car unit with a dock for the portable would be icing on the cake. Bob

As the Eagles so eloquently said "You can check out any time you want, but you can't ever leave", The leavers eventually see the error of their ways, they miss the feel of the disc, the clarity of the sound, and decide that being a sheep like everyone else is boring. Ttfn Bob

You chose Wisely! Have fun Bob

The NH1 is far more solid but doesn't offer the RH1's uploading capabilities. If I were me I would snap both up, best of all worlds Bob

You must have been REALLY good this year, very nice, enjoy them Bob

Just watched Music and Lyrics last night, lots of fun, and accurate as well, I know lots of musicians, and saw bits of all of them there. Night before we watched the new Indiana Jones movie, see it if you haven't, mucho recommended Bob

Best MiniDisc recorder for recording ambient sounds?
bobt replied to samueldilworth's topic in Minidisc
You could try the early M series, I believe the M10 is a rebadged NH-910, and I think it comes Mac compatible. Look in the equipement browser to be sure Good luck Bob -

A friend is leaving the island, got a Denon PMA 700V amp preamp, A Denon TV 450 tuner, and a Luxman G100 equalizer for $100.00, no room for it at home, 3 weeks till power at the shop, should hook up nice to the Sony cd and Fisher speakers I got earlier this year. Sorry no pictures! Bob

As a mechanic, stay away from a hybrid and electric, no benefits to weigh out costs. My advice is get an older Mercedes 300 TD and run it on Biodiesel and WVO. I have a Mitsubishi Pajero here that gets 40 MPG, and a supplier of waste cooking oil that I filter and mix with the diesel. To me that is the way to go. JMHO Bob

Just saw the two Bridget Jones Diary movies, if there is a worse actress than Renee Zelwigger, with her tres phony british accent, I don't know who it could be. Movies are trite, if you haven't seen them, don't bother Bob

Hi again all, for those interested, stormcarib.com has a lot of pictures, you may even see mine as planes and helicopters have been overhead a few times, house behind me was knocked off it's foundation, a 3 story is now ground level. Just got power back, pays to live close to the power plant. No phone line yet, with Cayman Brac being Paloma'd they will get the lions share of repairs first, so it will still be sporadic Blackberry updates and posts. TC I can see shridurgas comment as it was, he didn't offend me, I've done the same in a cat 1 or 2, but it takes a 4 or 5 to really respect what ma nature can do. I really appreciate all the thoughts and will be back when I can Bless you all Bob
-
Add me to the one wishing a great day, enjoy it to the fullest Bob

Again, thanks for the thoughts, Paloma hit us early this morning as a strong cat 4, again for the third time in 2 months, major damage, a few houses down, fairly major property damage, no power for a few days by the looks of things. We lost part of our roof, and now have a sea view from our porch. Until we get power back I won't be able to post much, conserving power on the blackberry Ttfn Bob

Thanks TC, appreciate it, as of now (10:00 PM EST) it has just left Grand Cayman at a CAT2, and is poised to hit north of us about 11:00AM, hopefully it doesn't strengthen too much in these 12 hours. Will post as soon as I know more. Thanks again Bob

The RH1/M200 allows the MD to be uploaded to your computer through the USB using a program called Sonicstage, it is a fairly quick way to get your discs into the computer. If you get any other Hi-md, they will upload sics that they record, but the RHI is the only one tht does them all. Good luck, Bob
