to all that celebrate, Merry Christmas, and to the rest, Have a great day and season, and let's all work together on making this a better world Bob
  2. That is beautiful, really miss my Revox, and records!! Bob
  3. It's a very good deal for an entry system, you won't be abl to upload to your computer, but it will work for getting you in. The MD's are worth more than what he is asking, so in effect you are getting the units for free, Have fun Bob
  4. Good luck with the recording, I thought someone would have offered tips, but I guess the best you can do is to do the best with what you have, I have done recordings up on a hill several hundred feet away from the stage, and they came out surprisingly good. Take care, bob
  5. That restriction has been lifted with Hi-MD, especially with the RH1?M200 Bob
  6. Appreciate it coming back as well, missed my daily MD fix, Bob
  7. I've always likes Modest Mussorgsky, and Igor Stravinski, Von Karajan's Pictures at an exhibition is great, as well as any version of The Firebird, if you are adventurous, you could get any of Isao Tomita's electronic reworks of the classics, as well as Wendy (Walter) Carlos's recordings, you will love them. As TC says, classical is a large field, a few misses as well as hits, try the bargain bin at your favorite CD store and see what you find. Right now I'm listening to Tomita's Canon of the three stars, Pachelbel's Canon, etc Good luck, and have fun Bob
  8. Glad it worked for you, have you seen twoflower lately? Is Unseen University doing anything for the holiday's? BTW, great name, Bob
  9. How about Sky, Fourplay, and Spyro Gyra for a starter? Bob
  10. You Lucky dog, that would look sooooo good with my Denon power amp and tuner!!! Keep finding the good ones, Bob Very nice watch, are they available out of India, will have to dig deeper on the site. Bob
  11. It is sad when talent leaves us, at least we have his legacy of music to remember Bob
  12. Listening to Laibach's deconstruction of Let It Be, their version of Across the Universe has to be one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. Bob
  13. Didn't actually buy it, but last week a friend who was moving gave me a great chair, after getting it home and digging a little deeper on it, I found he gave me a Homedics Astrorecliner massage chair, spent a couple of hours in it yesterday, what a cool way to relieve your tensions Bob
  14. Hi Sinead, Easiest way is the RH1, will digitally upload to your computer, alternate method is an adapter cable from your md output to your comput4 lin in, usually a 1/8 to 1/8" cable will work. Good luck Bob
  15. As you asked on your other post, any Hi-MD model will do it for you, RH1 is the best, any one will work for you though Bob

    Upgrade to Hi-MD?

The best is the RH1/M200, as it will allow you to upload your prior recordings, data can be used on any disc formatted to Hi-MD. RH1 does not use AA battery, nor does it matter as you can go a long time. If AA is important try getting an NH-700 or 800, but it won't me able to upload your prior recordings, just your future ones. Good luck Bob
  17. who need help BTW I forgot how much fun we had with this thread TTFN Bob
  18. Started watching Sin City last night, too weird for SU, ended up rewatching The Princess bride, truly a classic, Bob
  19. Just finished Tangram 2008 by Tangerine Dream, a very good top-up to the original, definitely worth a listen, just starting to listen to The broken Hearted Bride, a new one by the Strawbs, don't think they can play a bad note, recommend it as well. Bob
