an easier alternative would be to ask if you can plug into the mixing board, most bands are OK with that if you ask, lot easier than trying to re-engineer a product Bob In other words, "use the source"

I Just checked the equipment browser, this deck can use data discs, or regular MD's, regular MD's are two channel, data full use. Do you have a regular SP disc you can put in and see if that works on playback? Failing that try a mono into four track and see what happens. Try PM'ing guitarfxr, I believe ha has a similar unit. Hi There, Your deck has died, the ribbon to the record head has broken, DO NOT put in anther disc, it will randomly erase discs, you will cry, it will not be pretty. Best bet is to use this time to move up to Hi-MD, some bargains here, and on ebay Good luck, Bob

Your recorder is probably worn out, and that is the point where the cable to the record head loses contact. Time for a new unit, try an NH 700 or 800 Bob

Welcome, as always, it's a constant question, and it is in the forums. With this deck it has to be done in real time, You need Audacity, or Mrcs renderer, both in the download section. You then take a 1/8 male to male cable and go from the line out or headphone jack of your deck, put the other end into the input of your sound card, press play on the deck, and record from your sound program. Alternatively, you could get an RH1 and do it all digitally, and the you could have lots of fun with the RH1 Good luck, Bob

There is an option on SS 3.4 and up that asks if you want to delete or not, so you are safe, you can have the best of both worlds. As well there are no more limitations on how many times you can upload. Bob
