maybe that's why it was at $22? it's not a big loss though.

i would rather they also include some sort of High Def DVD recorder....but it'll drive up the cost. i want everything in High Def now. btw, pioneer is a supporter of the blu ray format.

i like that plastic carrying case for the minidiscs......do they still make these?

i bought a second hand used RH1 and it's been working perfectly. mine is made in malaysia as well.

along with the 10mp, the 400D or XTi has the dust cleaning technology. and also sports a bigger 2.5" LCD screen. i have the 350D and i love it. but i can't warrant the expense of a new camera. if your funds allow it, i get the newer model. or wait 6 months and the price on the XTi should drop a bit.

it works with firefox 1.5.0.9, guess i didnt upgrade to FF2.0

definitely put in the battery with the correct polarity..... with the + and - and u should be ok. the battery drains a bit even if u dont use it like all electronics products. as far as the draining is, how quickly does it drain? right after u finish charging it? do u have to charge it again the next day? might be time to get a new battery.

if your RH1 is still within the warranty period, i would just send it in.

the prices on the battery here in the states isnt that cheap either. if u can even find them in stores that is. online is still $50-$60.

did u ever get another spare battery? i bought one on ebay for like 1/2 the price sony sells it for. though they might be fakes. but they do work. except the 1st battery i got it didnt work. i asked for a replacement and the 2nd 1 works great. btw, i never have problems with my rh1.

i agree about the track display on the main unit.....instead of that crappy visual spectrum analyser that DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

must just be your area. the 1 gb discs are available mostly online.........might be available in some stores in my area. but very limited.

i'm surprised epinions would even list the RH1 in their database.

FYI, that USB cable also works for most digital cameras. and i use the same USB cable for minidisc as well.

why did they include a 1gb disc with a non HiMD unit?

yeah, if u have no problems with the previous version, then i leave it too. cuz some might experience problems after they upgraded to a newer version.
