Voted for the NH900. Seems the perfect balance between price and features. I had an NHF800, but the 900 seemed so refined and exquisite compared to it.

Holy smokes. How long did the interview last? 2 hours? Can you convert the RealAudio file to Wav or MP3? If you can convert to wav, maybe you can turn it into a FLAC, which takes less space. May I also suggest you stop using RealAudio? It's not that good anymore, honest. Biggest piece of Bloatware ever. If you still have the disc, I suggest you re-record to your PC but using Audacity this time. Use WAV or a lossless format or high-bitrate lossy format if possible.

HMAs are the operating files all right. The files should show up in SonicStage as tracks on the MD. The music doesn't become a "file" until you upload it to the computer. Otherwise it's just a track on the MD.

HMA? You are not supposed to touch those. If you recorded the files to the Hi-MD, you need to upload them through SonicStage. Hope you hadn't moved the HMA's out of the original MD. If you did.. well.. sorry.

I would suggest transferring back to the original computer. But if you already removed SS from it, you might be S.O.L. Sorry.

Being part of the 2nd generation of HI-MD, the DH710 will play MP3s natively with no transcoding. You just need to adjust the equalizer.

I guess that also the problem is that Sony thinks Atrac@ 132 is just as good as AAC @192 (which I think is what I-tunes uses). Sony, start offering Hi-Sp downloads through Connect and kick Apple's arse, please.

To be honest, I really don't see what's so easy about Itunes. Windows Media player seems easier to handle to me. And we're talking about one of the lamest apps around.

SS will only do fake SP. Simple burner won't even do fake SP.

Actually I clip it on my shirt's pocket. That way is usually on chest level. Also, whenever I use my company ID badge, I just clip it to the cord hanging from my neck. Pretty handy.

If the hiss stops when you hit pause, it might be because there is interference from one of the motors inside of the MD, in my opinion. Maybe a faulty ground connection, but it's just my uninformed opinion.

The time capacity of the discs shouldn't matter. It sounds to me like your discs are just bad. Try another disc, and see what happens. If not even a brand new disc works fine, then the recording block is going kaput.

Also, make sure you got no audio codec packs. FFDShow and KazaaLite codec pack are baaaaaaaad for your system.

Blocked? In what sense? Have you tried the OMG To OMA converter? Hi-MD Renderer? Please give us a bit of background. If the files can still be heard on the Hi-MD, then you can capture them using the realtime method.

VBR Mp3 tend to drive SS nuts. Convert your MP3 to wav, and import that. See if it transfers ok.

Are your MP3s Constant Bitrate? VBR tend to drive SS nuts.
