MZ-NH1

Yes having 70 hrs of music sounds awsome! but where are you going to get a battery that lasts that long? Unfortunatley the MZ-NH1 doesn't have and 'external battery case' whereby you can add another battery to the unit, so the max hrs of listening is something like 15 hrs max. Unless you have bought about 5 extra lithium batteries, unfortunatley I don't think you will be listening to all that music in your car. And to add to the dissapointment Sony not to my knowledge doesn't have a 'cigarrette lighter' recharge thing, (what I mean is that you arn't able to run the MD off the power of the car) :@

It has never crashed for me either ROMBUSTERS, but I was just saying what others had said. SS works fine for me, but yes, there are features that should have been included: In Windows Media Player, you can search for new files, so that files ALREADY IN THE LIBRARY aren’t added again, in SS you can't do this to my knowledge, so if I have 2 - 3 new albums, I will have to find them in my large music collection, which is a great hassle! The other hassle for me and for many others I believe is that my music library collection is all in .mp3 format, so having to convert all my music I want for my MD to ATRA3plus is an extreme hassle. I can spend up to 3-4 hrs encoding my mp3's to ATRAC for just ONE disc :@:@, and then I have 1GB of ATRAC files on my hard drive which I would never use, and it seems that if I delete them, DD won’t be able to find the file when next uploading it to my MD, so I have to delete the file, and then re-import it :@ Sorry for the long post, just had to get all my anger out!

Ahahaha, Kardon! I think it works pretty well for most people, except for that fact that there are so many features that Sony have left out that they could have put into this piece of software to make it easier to use for everyone. When it doesn't work, then you get extremely angry, especially if it freezes in the middle of an upload, or trashes recordings that you can't take again and all that kinda stuff that really makes it a pretty shitty, annoying piece of software.

Ahahahah, some nice names here! I'd call it - "1 Player to rule them all!" Because simply SS is just FANTASTIC, and always performs to its peak - 110% Nah, lol just jokes guys. I'd call it "Shit- Suh"

Well here in Australia we have really shit plans/prices for not only mobile phones but for broadband internet and cable TV as well :@ I have a Nokia 3200 on Pre-Paid with Virgin Mobile. 4 months Old I don't really have any special features except for an infra-red device which can plug into my pc via USB so that it enables my PC to have infra-red and so I can transfer pics and music to a from my mobile to pc. I really would like to get this phone though! LG U8120 because of its better and newer features!

I'd just like to say that everything looks a whole lot better than it did before the new year. More users, nicer looking skins, faster server, will all attract more users and the Google search result for Mini Disc Forums is exellent as well! Looks like a good year for everything concerning MD's! YAY!

All I can say is AWSOME!!!! I looked at the pictures and just went, !!!!!! This looks really good. Very nice look to the whole unit and everything! I WANT 1!

Yeh I use it. Like it a lot more than the 'kinda pinky, bright blue' other skin...

You should come to my gym! Everyone who uses a portable audio player has an iPod or an iPod Mini, that's all you see. And they all flash it around in their 'special' leather cases tied around their weists :|

Yeh when I do watch it, it is normally because my sisters love to watch it and I love how Simon pays out everyone, because it is so true! The 1st 2 or 3 episodes are normally the ones for the best laugh, because you hear the really really shit singers

AHAHAHAH. Very effective add, yet I am sure they will have many people objecting to the theme of the add as Syrius says. Love it! In Australia there has recently been an add about Lamb, and how Aussies love our lamb, and it pays out vegetarians and all kinds of people, but it is incredible funny, yet so many vegetarians have complained and are OUTRAGED (lol) by it!

Don’t you get sick or reality shows that always keep coming back? Like BIG BROTHER 5!!! OMG get over it already! ..... and like "Australian Idol 3" down in Australia . We have other ones as well. I like some of the US reality shows... like Wife Swap, coz that is just plain funny watching those idiots who sign up to it! What else is there…. I hear there is a “Sports Illustrated” show coming in the US, where chicks try and win themselves to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated… that is one show I WILL be watching

Great idea. This is exactly what I would like!!! I currently have the Sony case, which has the space for the MD, then another compartment for about 5 minidiscs… I just want a case for the MD though, and this looks great. Anyone bought one of these? I have a MZ-NH1, which isn’t listed, but they do say that they will make a custom one for your type of MD… Thanks for the link! Does anyone know if there is a shop/online store like the 1 posted about that operates in Australia? I know there are a couple of Aussie people in the forum, so to them... do you know of any shops in Aus that sell cases like the ones posted about?

Have you tried to re-format you MD Discs? I have just had a problem with my SS 2.3, which I have never had before. It wouldn't transfer/delete/edit anything using SS to my MD, so I ended up reformatting my 1gb Disc, and everything works fine now. Maybe try that? Sorry it isn’t anything more. But I myself can’t think of anything else which you haven’t already tried which would work.

Yeh, well I live in Australia, so if you want to know the prie in US, then you will have to convert these pirces $590 for MZ-NH1 $190 for Microphone $48 on 8 1GB disks $20 on chords to hook up my MD to sound system That's about it. So round $850 altogether.

kurisu, there isn't a timer kinda thing which you can add to this forum is there? Which will track and log how many hours a day and week someone spends on the forums is there? Since I am on holidays, I tend to visit this place every morning for about 30-40 mins reading all the new threads, then come back later on at night time and check for the new threads

Is there a web for Sony where you can send them ideas for MD models? Because if there was, and I hope there is, then I think us NH1 owners should compile a partition, saying we all want a 'dry battery pack' added onto the MZ-NH1!

Good to hear it is working. One more influence might be that you’re not using SS 2.3? I don’t know the link off by heart, but you would be able to find the link to download SS 2.3 by using the "search" section
