Ha! I knew I wasn't crazy. Sony obviously has a problem they need to fix. Maybe they already did? Anyways, since someone dug up this thread thought I might as well contribute to it. Mind you I haven't had the charging problem since I last posted, or maybe even before that. I think it just needs to go through a couple charge and discharge cycles to get the battery up and running. Try leaving the remote connected, that worked for me for some weird reason.

It's so hard to convince someone to use MD these days. Or perhaps it never was? I mean all people care about is "Oh what's that only 1GB!? pfhht, I like my iPod better and it has blah blah blah". And then they look at you like an alien when you tell them its all about the SQ and enjoyment of owning one. Then they go how good the iPod sounds... AHHH, anyways.

How would one do so? Does initializing the disc pretty much defrag it or it doesn't? I suspect it doesn't because I noticed I could fit less music than I could before on the same disc, with the exact same files. Or maybe I did something differently and didn't notice it. Anyways, are there methods to defragmentate a MD? p.s. I hope I posted this in the right section, please move if necessary.

Haha, at last.... I finally got someone to start using MD. There is actually another MD under the roof it's name is R909, and has been around longer than my RH1 (oh, wow, I just realized that). It actually belongs to my sister and she has never used it before, only because it was too much work and actually complicated for her. The thing is beautiful (I prefer the brushed look and dimensions of the R909 over the RH1) and a work of art. Anyways long story short, she asked if I could transfer some songs via PC--->RH1 for her and I said sure thing! And even though most of them were mp3's at 128kbps (her files) and transcoded to LP4 (yes thats right) she said that they sounded beautiful and better than her other mp3 players (thats compared with the original mp3 too!)... I think that says quite a bit about MD. Anyways I just feel happy to hear that someone appreciates what I appreciate.

I think he is actually talking about track marking. There should be a button called T Mark, press that and a mark should be made. Refer to your manual on how to use it, as I have never used it before. Edit: Oh, nvm what I've just said

Just got a Sony Premium 80min disc, all I can say is WOW. The gold and black goes together really well - I never knew that they looked like this. It's beautiful IMO, and I wonder how they get the shutter to look golden. Anyways... p.s. I want to get these, Click to See.

Wow, one disc per album? I guess you listen to them as .wav? Or perhaps one disc per artist at other bitrates. I don't have any labels btw, I just number them in my head, each album is associated to a number. Edit: Deleted the repeated part (what happened!?).

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I thought that it was relevant and had no need to start a new one. I've been using the smaller draw string bag ever since, since it's a perfect fit, but I now feel that I could use more. Does anybody know the product number for it, or a place that sells them? Or you could recommend me a better alternative, but please no zippered cases like ones for CDs. Peace.

I think the N510 also had a case like the one the N10 has. But I think it was only for Canadian models.

Now I think about it, I would go with the blue one too. I like how the lettering are a different colour, where as the black one has black letters, more subtle.

I can't decide on what colour I should get for a possible future EH70. I was thinking of Blue or Black or maybe even Pink just for fun. I like how the blue one looks, but the black one would match my RH1 wouldn't it? And over all I think the blue one looks better, but still love the matching black one. ! Can't decide!

We have the same problem. I like the pouch, but it doesn't provide enough protection.
