LOL, oh wow, I thought that thing looked like a miniature nuclear power plant. And those knobs on top is where you insert the nuclear rods.
-
In a sense wouldn't DVDs qualify as a 'Hi-CD'? Like are you looking for a medium with more storage capacity? Why not go for HDDs? Its the hardware that matters after all (for SQ), not the medium.
-
Well actually you could, but it just won't play through the MD player.
-
Whats with all these threads about MD dieing and disappearing from stores and shops? Its not exactly news anymore. Its just funny to see a new one almost every week.
-
No, wonder I couldn't hear the last one, thought something was wrong with my ears.
-
I really wish they could get Blu-ray into MD, and YES I know Blu-Ray is not MO. As long as it acts the same and is just as reliable I don't care if its MO or not.

Oh... but I was talking about the remote. I was just also stating that my RH1 turn people speechless. @tekroid, lol, yeah I guess I could think of a situation where I would need it.
-
Lol, speachless in Seattle. I get positive comments most of the time when people see my RH1. Most of them say it's very "cool".
-
It has been said before that the ferrite core doesn't make a difference on the remote after extensive testing. @ the wizard of oz, how is the build quality better on the 35ELK? Is the slide button smoother and more responsive? I find the one on the MC38EL is very bad and hard to push in at times.
-
I really want to get one, but I don't like how it's so bulky.
-
That's weird. I mean it's happened to me before but that's because I had a slow computer. Did you make sure to close all other applications and windows before starting the installation? I suggest you uninstall all the SS' you have plus simple burner. Then manually delete the 'Sony' and 'Sony Corporation' folders by going to 'Program Files' (don't delete other Sony programs within the folders though like the one for your cybershot etc.). This should give you a clean install next time. Although you could also delete the registry files from the last install... but I don't want to go into that.
-
The MZ-R909 is really nice too. Has everything you mentioned and the build quality IMO is great.
-
I don't think you really have anything to worry about. 1) Simple Burner is available for download here in the Downloads section 2) I'm sure you can find the conversion tool again, if not, SS CP already has it built right in. 3) I'm willing to risk a blank that all your NetMD capable units will work.

Sounds pricey, care to specify which graphic card? 8800GTS/X?

Q: Any harm in leaving RH1 connected via USB?
Sparda replied to ethornley's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
You would kill the battery - it would be trickle charging 24/7. The unit itself plugged 24/7, I don't think there should be a problem. Just leave the battery out. Oh, and if there was a thunder storm, I think your computer would fry first, I would worry more about that. You could buy a surge protector for your computer and accessories. -
There is a service manual (RH1's) available for download in the downloads section. That tells you everything you need to know, except for how to actually get into service mode, but there are threads for that.
-
Lol, you got to be kidding me. I don't think by any means that is possible.
-
Could it be because SimpleBurner was opened? Today while transferring (well in the process) I couldn't see the option for my RH1 too, and I noticed that SimpleBurner wasn't closed. After I closed it, the drop down menu had an option to transfer to my RH1 now. Normally I remember to close SimpleBurner, but I forgot to today. Or you could always plug it into another USB port directly into your computer. Btw, by the "cylinder" i think you mean the remote? Goodluck.

IIRC, they are very similar. Just different parts and build quality.
-
Just got them from the mail. They are absolutely stunning (even the case is). Ishiyoshi's photos shows the beauty of them very well.

Bought a TDK wa 10 pack from Tommy. Had great communication through out, and fast shipping considering where it came from. Thanks again

Even though it is probably unnecessary and would definitely drive the cost up, I wish Sony could just incorporate the optical out to all the portables. It would be very cool.
-
Wouldn't optical out have a blinding red light glowing out? That's how its like on my devices with opt out.
-
I know that the MZ-1 has optical out. But those are hard to get.
