That's a very nice case. I like the stitching and the shape of the buttons incorporated in to the case. Not bad pics for a camera phone. I guess £20 GBP isn't a bad price for a leather case. From what I can make out once the case is closed it also covers and protects the screen.

You would be better off getting a pair of the Sennheiser CX300's as they are roughly the same price as the EX71's.

Yep, exactly the same problem. That particular range was not one of Sony's greatest offerings. Good sq but that was about it I'm afraid.

That's good, obviously a hell of a lot better than the A1200. I wasn't too impressed by the battery life of that particular model.

Does this model claim to have the same battery life as the NW-S7xx range or is it similiar? Also does it have the 3 min charge function?

Indeed, I blame ATRACLIFE for this damn addiction I seem to have. When I joined the forum I was quite content with my NW-E407 but since then have accumulated a few more devices. I now own the A1200, a HD5 and a NW-S706 and am now deciding on wether or not to buy an NW-A8xx. Now if there was no such thing as ATRACLIFE I would probably own just one of the above units. So thankyou very much ATRACLIFE for making my bank balance a pittiful site and having to explain my purchases to my not so happy female companion lol

Yep, they really should include it seeing as it is a high end model and in the past included the chargers with the HD5 and A3000/A1000/A1200.

Oh, you mean a mains charger. I thought you were taking things really serious there and had got your self a headphone amp. Yep, the mains chargers are good. I got one included with my A1200, handy when going away and there is no pc to plug in to. How much did they charge you for the mains charger?

Anthony, join the club! Most of us have the same problem. As for the wife, mine thinks I'm a bloody nutter with the precious things-(multiple walkman units). As for cases, the Sony Centres do a few both leather and skins for the NW-A8xx. Do you have a local Sony Centre? I think they should open a support group for us walkman freaks, Walkman's Annonymous maybe?

Wise move! Maybe in 6 months to a year we will see a more attractive, higher capacity drag and drop offering from Sony.

Hi DSP Seeing as you live in Europe and you now own both the NW-S7xx and the NW-A8xx, can you tell me if the volume cap on the A8xx is the same as the S7xx or is the volume lower than the S7xx? If the volume is lower would you say it's the same as your NW-A1200 before you implemented the volume hack?

When using Gracenote in Sonicstage it will allow you to drag and drop your album covers on to the device.

Sony Centres here in the UK do the cases for between £10 and £20.

Cuts out 75% of ambient noise, so you will still hear some. It does however make a difference.

I think that single gold plate you refer to is the sensor for the noise cancelling. There should only be one of those.
