Yes, that's what I use. The cloth you get with your glasses/sun glasses.
-
It wasn't supposed to be an answer. I will provide you with one though. Sonic Stage is intended for use with Sony products, so it will not work with the Zune. I would imagine that you would have to use the appropriate software

Thanks for the Pictorial Richyhu. Some nice shots of the A808 and it's accesories. If you could add some more that would be great.
-
Probably not

I would give her the pink Sony NW-E002. No one carries a personal cd player around anymore. Well maybe the odd person.
-
No, unfortunatley you can't drag and drop with the A806. You will need Sonic Stage.
-
I totally agree. It simply puts the music on to your device. I have never really had a problem with it and don't know what all the fuss is about.
-
Yep, I had a few of those back in the 80's & 90's. Can't remember all the model numbers, but I still have a WM102 from 1987 and an old Aiwa from the early nineties. Sound quality was crap compared to now but we put up with it all the same.

Is the EU volume on the nw-s706 as bad as the one on the nw-e005?
markey replied to india99541's question in Audio
Never mind the power rating of the ipod etc. The output & sq of the new Walkman range ie. the NW-S7xx & NW-A8xx leave the competition standing even though only rated at 5mw per channel. Enjoy your new player, I think you will find it loud enough -
Zizone's NW-S706F/Black Review (edit: 2007/2/22)

Hi neseattle I'm afraid to say I have never used the Linear PCM recording function, so can't comment. -
It does what I need it to, nothing more, nothing less. That is to put music on to my atrac device. I'm prepared to put up with inferior software for SUPERIOR sound quality, not hyped sound quality.
-
Never listened to the E888's but have heard very good reports on them. Personally I don't think the A8xx's supplied phones (MDR-EX82) provide very good isolation. Not a bad set of stock phones though.
-
Clear bass & clear stereo, on. CB:- 3 & eq set to:- 2-1-0-1-1, and various other settings. Listening to the same tracks on both units at both Atrac3plus 192 & 256 kbps. To my ears the phones sound better on the S706. In my opinion, the S706 has the edge on bass response though a little muddy. The A806 has a much crisper and detailed sound. I'm happy with both units though.
-
I have just tried the MDR-EX82's that came with my A806 with my NW-S706. They sound extremely good with this unit. In my opinion they sound better with the S706 than they do with the A806. The S706 packs more of a punch when it comes to bass.
-
Yeah, thought it was funny you asking abot the NW-S7xx when the NW-S603 is the same but without the fm tuner. £53, that's a very good deal. I think you will be pretty impressed with the NW-S706.

Is the EU volume on the nw-s706 as bad as the one on the nw-e005?
markey replied to india99541's question in Audio
No, the volume cap seems not to be as low as earlier models. Infact it is extremely loud. -
Solved it!!! The problem lay in Sonic Stage. I went in to the properties on that particular track and it had the wrong cover art assigned to it. Underneath was a selection of boxes that when you click on them you get one of the album covers you have downloaded on to Sonic Stage. I just ticked each one til I came across the correct one. I then hooked up the A806 to the pc and let Sonic Stage sync up with the A806
-
I see you already have a number of other Atrac devices. How does your N91 sound compared with them? The S706 sounds considerably better than previous units like the ones you have listed. You already have an NW-S603??? Hope this helps
-
Thanks guys. Well the reset button doesn't seem to work. I will hook the player up to my pc and have a look in sonic stage and see if it gives me any answers. I may take the albums off the player and put them back on and see if that works.
-
Playing around with the A806 and was listening to one particular artist. Forwarded on to the next track and the art work for a totally different artist pops up. Turned the player off and back on again, same thing. Has anyone else experienced this at all?

I have an A806, 4 gig. I have had it since Thursday and so far only have 84 tracks on it at 192 kbps Atrac3plus. I think I have used just over 1 gig. No video content and probably won't use it for that. It's a nice touch though.

Sony NW-A8XX Series carrying cases
markey replied to Old skool D's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
The Sony Centre In Tottenham Court Road runs out of stock quite quickly, probably due to it's location. For any of you not familiar with London, Tottenham Court Road in the West End of London is where all the electronics and audio visual stores are located. For a good section of the road it's door to door electronics. It's a geeks paradise . Was in there on Thursday and all they had were the spiderman skins. The sales assistant told me that once the cases are delivered in the morning they are sold out by lunch time the same day. Some times it's best to stay local than to travel in to town. -
Hi exaromar I would go for the black A806 if the Sony is the one you decide on. I held the white one on Thursday and before long it would turn gray in colour. Unfortunately I can't compare the Sony with the Iriver, as I have no experience with Iriver products. BTW your English is fine. At least you can speak another language, most of us English are lazy and expect everyone to speak ours

Keep your mp3's as they are, don't convert them as all you will be doing is compressing them even more so and losing sound quality. Atrac 256 kbps will eat up a lot of space on your 4 gig player. I personally use Atrac 192 kbps on this particular player. You could use Atrac 132 kbps but I wouldn't use Atrac 48 or Atrac 64 kbps because sq would be compromised.

Thanks Richyhu Not a great lover of the EX71's myself, as you said way too muddy. I hardly ever use them. I find the NC022's (supplied with the S7xx range & practically the same as your NC22's) are much better than the MDR-EX82's that come with the A8xx range. I shall have a little play with the eq again by just fine tuning the bass and see how it sounds. At 24GBP that is expensive, but as it fully protects the unit it's probably the best one to go for.
