  1. don't worry . Let me know how is it going
  2. I read in the news today that Apple will exchange defective Ipod nano players that has problems with the screen (very serious scratching). Sony: that's the way we want you to be. Maybe it would be nice to see Sony doing a firmware upgrade to fix the mp3 playback problem in the HiMD 2nd gen or things like that. Here's the link to read the article about ipod nano exchange: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20050928/wr_nm/...HNlYwMlJVRPUCUl
  3. If you want to record lectures what about this: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showt...4&hl=microphone
  4. Did you do the clean install using the official SS 3.2 installer from Sony site? Also, try the MDAC repair utility available at the download section. About Norton: try turning it off before clean installing again, and if you have any firewall, turn it off too.
  5. thanks for the icons Ishi. They look great. Btw Ishi: do you mind if a put a link to this page in the spanish minidisc forum?
  6. thank you very much for the info. One more thing: What s this thing "Boss Coffee" and where did you get the disc and the minidisc?
  7. ohhhh! that disc is awesome! Ishi: how do you print your minidisc labels (the spine one in the picture) and what font did you use for that label?
  8. You can record your lectures in HiLP and then upload them to SonicStage. In SonicStage (3.2) you can convert your recordings to 48kbps bitrate and then transfer the files to your HiMD.
  9. what kind of software ? do you mean SonicStage?
  10. Maybe the media is too expensive if you compare with something like a cd.
  11. Good question, any answer/info about this?
  12. Did you use the SonicStage backup application before upgrading to SS 3.2 ? Another thing: you had to do a clean install of 3.2. Take a look how to do this here: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=8071
  13. Problem solved. (if you're reading this, thanks for your time) I will post the way I solved it (if anyone has the same problem) If you read the other posts you will see that my HIMD was not recognized by SonicStage, altough it was recognized by SimpleBurner and as a drive (in windows). When I started SS 3.2, there were no options under the Transfer tab (no create music cd, no create atrac cd and no HI-MD). So, I did clean installs (acoordingly to the Himd Faq in the forum) 3 or 4 times; nothing happened. I tried the Mdac repair utility with no luck. So, finally I tried uninstalling Zone Alarm security suite and before reinstalling it again, I installed S.S 3.2 (the version from the download section in the forum). It works. After rebooting my computer, after the SS installation, SS started to recognize my HIMD and I could see all the option under the transfer tab. So, then I reinstalled Zone Alarm. Now everything works wonderfully. Hope this explanation can be usefull to someone with the same problem. Oh, one more thing, when SS was not working well, it was making my computer run very slow and sometimes even crashing, so if yours is running slow, you should try reinstalling too.
  14. I'm having the exact same problem, please help me guys! I've already tried a clean install and the mdac utility. (everything was fine a few hours ago) SonicStage ver 3.2 Athlon xp 2000+ 256 ram Windows Xp SP2
  15. I have one cleaning disc and I use it once every four months. I think that it's not so good to use this kind of cleaners because the brush may scratch the lens, but I have never had a problem with it.
