I think there's a problem on the unit so go the shop to have it replaced. If the battery charges on the NH-1, the problem is not in the battery. good luck

After having worked with it for some days, I come to the conclussion that the RH-1 is an extraordinary player but the software is the worst thing I've ever seen. MD burner is rubbish and SS not better. What a shame!. I think this machine deserves a much better and stable software. On this point, I-tunes is much better by far. Apple cares about the software and sony simply abandon it. Shame on you sony for this crappy software regards

Mine came supplied with a optical cord (I guess )but with no hi-md blank . Wonderful machine indeed. Excellent sound and construction. Nothing to do with i-pods and so on. Class and elegance far above from them . Transfers are quite fast at 256 kbs and it's amazing that a battery of three hundred something power can last for so long Nevertheless, I guess in the grey version the cleaning is easier and it keeps clean longer. Black is the worst color for dirt. Congratulations and welcome to the RH-1 owner's club .

If you don't like px100 maybe Koss Kc55 either. For me, the base of the senn MX500 is quite poor. Up to now, I haven't found better headphones than the px100

PX100 and I assure you my ears are in perfect condition because I don't like to listen to the music over the 50% of the output. I don't like in ear type. I'm plying them at 14-20 like you if I'm at home. I haven't tried it in the street yet. I had a pair of PX200 which are closed and the isolation was "none". I like the PX100 for its excellent overall sound quality. I don't know if there are better than this, but I could bet no. I also use the KOSS KC55 very very very good too. I'm afraid that if the place, street etc is too noisy, less than 30 is no good. It's true as well that it is not worth listening to music in noisy situations, isn't it? Rergards

Do you use this software?. I tried it yesterday but it is too faulty. It closes suddenly with no warning and you have to open it again and repit the download. I feel it is very useful because you don't need to import songs to the computer; go directly to the hi-md. Is it possible to do the same with the sonicstage?
