  1. Honestly, I have an old 15-year-old MZ-E20 and it works perfectly. If your RH-1 lasts as long as mine, be sure you don't have to worry about your purchase. Minidisc is far superior to the i-pod so you've done a good buy. As for the remote, it is true that the rh-1 displays not much information and the commented remote would be a solution. If you like having a 6 line display, you'd better think of changing your rh-1 for a rh-10. Take into account, nevertheless, that the construction of the rh-1 is said to be superb and the recording is better than the rh-1 one and so the playback. regards
  2. Do you really think sony cares what we say?. I'm sure they haven't visited this forum ever.
  3. My news from Sony Gallery in La Coruña, says that the rh-1 will be released on the first week of July at a price over 340 €. I will visit Madrid if it is finally sold at 300 € there. Regards

    MZ- RH910

I'm afraid we are talking about different "spains" LOL . It's really hard to find minidisc players in this country (at least where I live which is Bilbao); I swear!. As I see for your opinions, you would wait for the rh-1. thanks so much to all

    MZ- RH910

What do you think about this md? What about the sound quality? Can be compared in this sense to the rh-1 one? Pros and cons? Is 250 € (all included) a good price? Will you wait for the rh-1? I'm interested in highest quality sound? cheers Sorry for the duplication of the post. I can't erase one
  6. I know but, isn't there anybody in this forum who knows somebody who works for sony? . It's clear that if we don't get an effective email address, we'd better forget the idea Sony should have a "customers box" to know what their buyers think of the brand cheers
  7. What about sending emails to Sony requesting if there's going to be more models of the third generation?. Maybe that if a lot of us write to sony they condescend to respond us. It's just a suggestion. Obviously, we should get a proper address If anybody knows it, I'm ready to be the first in sending the email
  8. Then let me ask you something. Do you think the playback part of the rh1 is bad?. You talk about you use "MD format for playback", so does the rh-1 sound worse than your present md on playback?. As far as I know, you can use the rh1 to play or to record, and the play back quality is amazing, as it has been told in this forum serveral times. You want the rh-1 for playback, use it for that. I don't understand that point of the critic to this gadget. Remember it has a HD amplifier. If you are talking about the money you have to spend, I understand. You want a playback model with the quality of the rh-1 but without recording, don't you?. If it is that, I agree with you and guess sony must release some models with these features. regards What's so bad about it?. Use it to play and forget about the recording, so simple.
  9. I know I'm asking in advance but, does anybody have any news about the third generation of md's?. I guess the rh-1 won't be the only one ???
  10. Thanks Norick. Let's wait
  11. I'm confident there won't be many mindisc owners in Spain , but I would like to know if anybody happens to know when the rh-1 will be released here. I know it has been released in UK and the Netherlands but for the rest ??? Regards
  12. Nice live review cheers
  13. Thanks nevermore. Keep us posted and tell us not only about the batter but the sound quality too. Regards
  14. okay, thanks so much. When you are at it, tell us your personal opinion about the rh-1 Regards
  15. Can any one who has one tell me how long the battery lasts on playback and on recording?. I mean not regarding the brochure but after having used it for some time (the REAL duration) cheers
  16. Exactly I have the same point of view. These headphones are GREAT. Cheers
  17. Sure it is; but I usually use my portable players volume not over a 50%. What I don't want is that this 50% equals the 100% of the rh-1. I don't know if I make myself undertood. I trust you when you say it is more than adequate so, no problem . thanks so much
  18. Hi Orion If I understood you right, the European models are finally 4.5 mw which. As you say, compared to the 5 mw of other countries there's harldy no difference (GREAT!). It was said, or at least I read it to someone in this forum, that the output of the European models would be 2.5mw (which was really ridiculous): Now that you confirm me about the 4.5mw, I'm more confident to buy one as soon as it is released in Spain, where I live. I repeat that the Sennheiser PX100 are the best of the best at this level. Do you agree? Cheers
  19. Orion, first of all, congratulations for your RH-1 and for the Sennheiser PX-100; I got them and for me are the best headphones for the price by far. Now, one question; I see you bought it in England so you got one with the European volume restrictions. Do you feel the output is low or with those headphones you think it is enough? Regards
  20. Not to mention the 2,5 mw + 2,5 mw in the european models. Am I right? I guess the i-pod shoud have the same output, or not? regards
  21. Would you be so kind to explain that a bit more?. I don't quite understand what you mean.
  22. It's the most stupid thing an engineer can say I know the question may sound weird to somebody but, Can anybody explain to me the difference between Hi-Sp / Hi-lp /lp2 and so on. Which is the highest atrac audio quality compression? Thanks in advance
