Are you running the new firmware?
-
Interesting, never used any full atrac albums since atrac gapless isn't support yet.
-
It should be a hope, it has to be a must.
-
I disagree, the volume is in the perfect place when you hold the player, and is easily accessible using the thumb.
-
depends on the song, some songs that I have recorded off vinyl have the white noise, but all others at 192 don't. even some vinyl ones as well.
-
I have that turned off now as well, and did the test of keeping CP on overnight to see if it would update my tags right, like it was mentioned in one thread and like everyone else, I had to go and fix all my tags again. Sadly, if that is the case, and the artistlink function won't be working, sony should seriously fork over some compensation for this, otherwise release some new firmware for wma DRM and atrac gapless.

Ya, this has happened once to me, there is one way to fix it. you have to delete the library files from the directory where they are located in CP. Go to Documents and Settings then all users, next application data (if you don't see this, make hidden folders viewable) then select Sony Corporation and then CONNECT player, finally open the library folder and delete the stuff in there. Then reboot and reopen CP. And you will have to reimport the songs again sadly.

If you hook up the player to the pc it will restart to the first song since, but when you are listening to it normally and turn it off, of course it will play the last song played.

NW-A1000 and NW-A3000: Initial Impressions
Ascariss replied to Ascariss's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
Sadly, I don't have time to do a battery test on the larger A3000 this weekend, I am short on time and rather busy. Most likely next weekend since I will have time then. As well, I would have to say the front of the new units is rather resistant to scratches, sure there are some small minor ones although you can't really see them until you put it up to the light and look close up. using it for over a month now, it has fared rather well in the scratch deptartment and I haven't even used a case for it, unless the A1000 which I do use a case, well actually the bag I got with my EX71's is a good carrying case for the A1000 lol. If the front of these units is that tough, why didn't apple use a similar material? -
I agree it is complex, but the best method that sony could have gone with the software would have been lessis more. The less complicated they made it, the better it would be. Seriously do we really need tinyhttp.exe? someone mentioned it was a browser that really had no purpose except the connect store? If that is so, I have no use for it, we don't have a connect store in canada. I am the lucky few where the software seems to work more or less, my slow pc is the only thing keeping me back, other than that only a few bugs.

Hypothesis: NW-A3000 Doesn't like high bit rates
Ascariss replied to Tetsugaku-San's question in Audio
I have mostly 192 cbr mp3 and all are working fine, in addition have a few 320 cbr mp3s and they are fine, as well 227vbr mp3s work fine, and I did a test with the highest quality vbr wma and they all worked fine. -
Damn you caught me, I do thank you for the wishes.
-
Never has happened to me, ripped 3 cds in a row and it worked just fine, took a while though.
-
2 songs: artist: Mylo title: In Your Arms (Sharam Jey Remix) album: In My Arms 12" (I have other albums labeled like this and they transfer fine) year: 2004 genre: House bit rate: 192 CBR MP3, with 44100Hz artist: Steve Angello and Dave Armstrong title: Groove In You album: Groove In You CD5 year: 2004 genre: House bit rate: 192 CBR MP3, with 44100Hz

only the front is plastic, and the rest is metal.
-
No buttons have ever locked up on me, maybe your playing is broken, you said you did drop it correct? next, I use winamp to make playlists and import them, takes less than 5 min with transfer as well. Not only that my pc is nowhere near as fast as yours.
-
The funny thing is, I am sure plenty of people on this board, including myself would beta test the software.
-
All the tags are fine on mine, to remedy ths problem I just need to retransfer it sometimes again and it works.
-
I've had this happen to some individual tracks, always the same ones, never others, so my assumptions is that file is screwed up and I will most likely have to re encode it.
-
This is the actual song: DJ Colette - Feelin Hypnotized (Kaskade Mix) kaskade does some nice mixes and this one is one of them.
-
next few patches? Hopefully sony will release it next week and not at he end of the month since if it is at the end of the month, that will be a major bummer.
-
what kind of headphones are you using? because whenver I got over 15 or 16 volume it is rather loud on the A3000.
-
Ok, I thought you had a A3000 and 6 hours would be rather horrible on it. Who listens at volume 25 with their player? I actually got at 192kbps with EQ on, shuffle, and wolume 13 around almost 8 hours before I had to actually recharge it. Granted some songs are also VBR and above 192 mp3 and I did access the HDD from time to time. The A1000 doesn't have a large battery but it is still quite good when compared to other players on the market.

If you put the display at 15 sec option, he screensaver doesn't appear at all.
