    Moon River

1st of all;; i (rayzray) WAS there ;;live and in person when that movie came out;; it was a GREAT movie;; the "Cat" got to me the most.. 2nd;; i sang that song at weddings and lounges for 0ver 40 years;; never really knew what i was singing about;; but i would think about the times when i went to see the movie;; and that was enough emotion to get across to the patrons.. 3rd;; but,, the meaning of that song "Blew-up" on me when i would sing it to this "Couple" that used to come in every WED and Sun night;; and ask for it.. turns out this "Couple" were TWO "Drifting" ppl staying up the street at a Catholic home for Problemed Priests and Nuns.. Yess; i (rayzray) single handedly sang this couple out of the Church with my LONG renditions of "Moon River".. The song just don't make it for me anymore;; but,, one of my favorite vinyl albums (that i have) of all times is the one of Andy Williams sings his version of Moon River.. He does it the Best of all.. (Living Strings) does it good too.. interesting;; the rant about his voice being the same range as Audrey's speaking voice;; yes;; i had to drop it down MANY keys to be able to sing it.. Andy has i "High" voice..

  6. Fight Club Rules (The Rayzray Edits).. got it off U_Tube onto my Sony MD/CD Deck;; into Roxio;; EQ'd the rumble during "....You have to fight" and a quick fade at the crowd noise.. this is going into Hi-MD900 1 & 2 and my next few remixes;; can i change da rules?? *oh yeah,, i (rayzray) HATE rules*
  7. i always use Roxio;; but sometimes i TRANSFER the file to Sound Forge to do special editing.. does anyone do that?? or am i in Prehistoric Times.. then i burn a Master CD-R;; and save that!! i still have 2.?? and not 4.3 4.3.5 and 4.4 so why anyother way..

  9. so far;; the Axsis9 DJ turntable sounds HORRIBLE slowed down that much.. wil try Hi-MD900 now;; but,, i rayzray LOVE to listen to my Hi-MD900 ;;SLIGHTLY speed up so as to make ALL the songs "Exciting" and vibrant.. good for jogging and slow joggin.. well,, off to my "listening".. late edit]] well it's a toss up;; the Hi-MD900 may sound a bit better at 50% slower;; but;; the HiMD only gives an option of 10%,,20%..25%,,33& and 50%.. the Axis can be set an ANY speed;; no percent;; just slide da slider.. but,, my Axis9 is too big to take to bed.. i LOVE listening to my HiMDah900's..
  10. Canon in D by: pachabelly (sp);; planning to teach it to ALL my students at different levels..!! soooo,, i NEED to slow it down;; my DJ version from a Wedding CD is fweaking too fast.. soooo, i am making a test run:: 1.. recording a new slow version from my Numark Axis 9 CD turntable;; it has Speed control without changing the pitch;; after all ,, canon in D MUST be in D.. (but,, it tends to distort as you slow it dowm to 20/30 BPM).. 2.. downloading it into my Hi-MD900 and playing it back slower and recording it.. this is to see which one distorts the LEAST When slowed down a bunch.. it's an "Ear" thing;; sometimes when i remix something;; i like to end it with a TOTAL slow down (Melt Down) and into obsessive distortion.. Canon in D MUStT stay sane;; cause my students will tend to be creative and turn it into an Acid Rap..
  11. Oscar Peterson - Blues Etude 1 Blues Etude 5:21 2 Shelley's World 5:19 3 Let's Fall in Love 3:52 4 The Shadow of Your Smile 5:03 5 If I Were a Bell 5:08 6 Stella by Starlight 4:42 7 Bossa Beguine 3:57 8 L' Impossible 5:23 9 I Know Oh So Well 3:49
  12. listening to "Far Cry" ,, Rush's new single just released from their new album;; I (rayzray) WILL be buying asap.. it's great;; i like the way the Rush site has the Thunder just bofore it;; or,, was it my stomach "Crying Far" for goodies/bon-bons/suga blings & things.. oh,, i captured it on my MD-Deck;; it will reside in my Hi-MD by tonights "Pre-Bed Nap"..
  13. FYE CD store here in my home town started stocking Standard 80m MD's.. (Fugi??Fugifilm??)
  14. they are "All Thumbs" x 14 = 28 THUMBS!! they drop everythign ;; break everything;; and lose everything.. i would rather see them lose their i-pod;; which pleases me;; than lose a valuable MD unit.. and,, they do not know HOW to "Press" a Button;; that is;; they would creamate (sp) squash all the buttons on my Decks;; let alone break my ear-bud cables.. let the kids have their stupid i-pods;; and the smart ppl the MD-Decks-Flex_and trex;; and portables..
  15. listening to John Tesh - Songs from the Road.. 1.. Day One 2.. Roubaix 3.. Road made for Animals (except for stupid Ferrinks) 4.. Thousand Summers *i've lived that many* 5.. Bordeaux 6.. Mike Mercurie (Freddie wudda been betta) 7.. You are Here (and i am there)
  16. 14 grandkids all over my house is a "Nightmare";; but two at a time is good once in a while.. they LOVE my MD Decks;; and portables and realize all my R&B-HH/Rap and Alt Rk compilations come from these machines.. i make a lot of compilations for them;; keeps me up-to-date on the Top-40.. sometimes we make music videos and just program a few songs on an MD-Deck and camcord them (the grandkids) to the backgrounds of the world.. (the rollercoaser is my favorite).. i let them "Touch" my Sima A/V Mixer,, but NEVER EVER let them touch my MD Bling blings.. *as they prance around my house with their fweakin i-Pods*..!!
  17. forgot to tell you i have 14 grandchildren;; the wall color was for them (the Barbie Doll Days);; and the toons are a long story;; my wife sent me out to buy a new computer desk;; and i had visions of buying a Sony bling bling;; but came home with $400 USD worth of Looney Heads.. i guess i shudda bought a Double MD deck and a Double Burger instead..
  18. i DO have a musium;; my studio where most of my blings live..
  19. i must be "Blessed" ,, having ALL my MD Bling blings;; seems like i have ALL these capabilities under one roof.. yes,, i live in MD Heaven.. i never bought the Double MD Deck when i had a chance cause i could never see the "Point" of it.. since i Back-up almost Every MD onto a CD-R;; the CD/MD Decks seemed more doable.. i must go out on a "Quest" thought in my home town ad search for one;; i know there are a lot of MD decks here amongst the Radio Stations and DJ's.. Perhaps there is an OLD Double Decker sitting in it's Nursing Home waiting for it's Prince Charming..!!
  20. cool;; like i'm too old to "Chill out";; if i do;; ppl will think i'm Dead.. right now;; i am back to TV's music channel;; Alt-Rk (uncencored) ;; and am enjoying something lively;; i'll switch it to "Electronica" when i go to bed and right now The Academy Is.... "we've got a big mess on our hands" is playing;; not bad;; can't wait for the next song.. oh,, i am recording it on my Sony MD-Deck (digitally) just in case i catch a good one.. ok,, now Nirvana "spank Thru;; he WAS pretty good....
  21. i (rayzray) am convinced i can OUT-Re-mix any of the new pro DJ/artists after listening to this one:: do they realized this supposed to be "Dance" music;; oh, yeah;; i forgot;; the "Cha Cha" is dead!! DISC 1: 1. Host Of Seraphim, The - (with Dead Can Dance) 2. Majestic - (with Tone Depth) 3. Take Me Away - (with Chilled Eskimo) 4. Baby I'm Gonna Leave You - (with Led Zeppelin) 5. Ubik (The Dance) - (with Timo Maas) 6. Into Deep - (with LSG) 7. Alright - (with Max Graham) 8. Bullet In A Gun - (Rabbit In The Moon mix, with Planet Perfecto) 9. Darker - (with Brancaccio & Aisher) 10. Sanvean - (with Dead Can Dance) 11. No Way Out - (with Highland) 12. Barnone - (with Max Graham) 13. Tears In Rain 14. Silence 2000, The - (with Delirium)
  22. PM me;; see what we can do;; IF i make a REMIX/MIX for anyone;; they usually have to send me a copy of their songs/etc so i can edit them and make the mixes.. it's rather unique and the PRE-Master stays on an MD usually cut up into 50 to 100 pieces (the edits,, not the disc;; lol.. and the "Master" on a DVD-R (which can pop out MD copies on my Sony CD/MD Deck like pancakes on a Sunday morning..) oh,, sunday morning is "Quality time with my wife two cats";; i have to amuse them so as not to wake her up too soon.. i actually have a "Cat-MD" that has all linds of unusual and usual Animal sounds to keep the cats occupied & scared.. they weem to like my haunted house MD's and excentric sound efc CD-R's the best.. Back OT:: if the music you send me is music i don't have;; i usually concider that THE trade;; and you get a great re-mix of it.. if it's music i already have;; then a trade is a-la-mode ???? aprapo (sp) ???? - in order ?? mmmm,, yes,, ok..!!
  23. perhaps you may want to PM me;; i am not limited to just music;; and,, i LOVE to re-mix things (songs,, videos;; sound clips;; home videos-to-background videos) for ppl;; preferabbbly from these minidisc boards.. (basically i HATE doing anything "Normal"..!!) it's hard to find ppl here where i live that like and understand our likes and dislikes.. i find the musical and total tastes of MDCF etc on a parallel plain to mine;; and even if i don't agree;; i find everything fasinating and "Makes me Tnink".. the more i "think" the more i create;; and that can be an advantage to a few ppl.. i love sound clips;; and making mixes out of them;; i Love layering anyting to anything;; and i Love Southpark,, Family Guy;; and West Side Stories..
  24. i (rayzray) capture my music off the TV Music channels in Digital onto DVD-R's;; and also onto 80 min standard MD too;; yes TWO ways.. like "Bi-musically".. THEN,, transfer ,, ANALOGUE to Standard MD's where i can control the Level of Volume and spaces between the songs.. one that analogue is made;; i can copy as i wish Digitally from then on.. i PREFER Analogue to Digital and have a good ear for music;; 42 years singing and playing in bands.. yes;; i would say it is like a Vinyl.. i also like the fact that i (rayzray) SET the volume level by ear and meter once and NEVER have to worry about volume changes in future transfers.. that said;; i (rayzray) usually DON't "Do" as any members here "Does";; yes,, yous are the experts;; but i (rayzray) am the "Happiest"..
  25. listening to a remix i (rayzray) did for a trade in 2004;; i call it (Rayz Mix Dec 10,04 - Best of: 1.. Weezer Mix - 2 song medley (8:10) 2.. Michael Jackson Mix - 3 song medley (10:36) 3.. Do You Realize - Flaming Lips (EFX Mix) (16:26) 4.. Unfinished Sympathy - Massive Attack (9:02) 5.. Blues Baby Loops Mix (from a TV Commercial clip) (5:12) 6.. (intro to next track - track 7) 7.. Do You Realize (rayzray Dance Mix)(15:28)*what was i thinking* all these re-mixes/Mixes were edited on MD-Decks for the protection of society;; they will self destruct in 200 years!!
