I (rayzray) often go out to eat with my wife (at least twice a week or more);; and wear my Pana buds while we eat and talk.. She brings a book to read when i do that;; and yet we still talk.. i also do that in the middle of family parties when i want to LOSER the volume of the 14 screaming grandchildren a bit in my head.. the buds seem to do that excellently.. i see ppl in Boston eating at lunchtime and wearing buds and talking with friends too.. i am of the school where the more you do at the same time the more life is gratifying.. IF,, i do this with a person that seems to be annoyed a bid;; i will stop;; but "Everyone loves Raymond".. so,, i wean BOTH buds and lower the volume so as to hear the background instead of giving up the "Stereo" with a Mono singal.. i too,, can't stand to miss out on some instruments lick/riff or pick;; or that occational percussionist's cymbol or bongo on the left channel..

my latest re-mix project with TullFan from T-Audio Board:: rearranging and modifying all the 6 songs from Muse:: 1. Take a Bow 2. Assassin 3. Knights of Cydonia 4. Stockholm Syndrome 5. Blackout 6. Thoughts of a Dying Atheist all on a standard MD now for to "divide" "move" & "Program" into a MEGA re-mix..
-
ok,, so i find out that i didn't save 4 songs to my final library;; so,, what do i do.. of the 800 MD's i have;; 200 are for capturing music off the music channels;; which i rotate over a long period.. so, i am listening to the 4 songs now that i recorded last October;; still in tact on my MD's.. all temp logged on sheets of paper.. it's like licking the frosting from the inside of a chef's bowl ..

i just can't take it anymore;; reading this thread.. i MUST rant.. it all goes down to this;; IMO.. of course.. the world is made up of followers and leaders;; losers and winners;; first place and last place;; things that are easy and things that are hard;; ppl that are willing to learn and do hard things;; and ppl that look for the EASY way out;; imaginative ppl and bumps on a log.. are you getting the trend?? with my 27 MD-Decks & two Hi-MD900's;; i feel like a leading winner;; in first place;; pressing my hard sequence of buttons;; and imagining i AM the "Bomb".. these rants confirm it!!

listening to Bond (classical group) - Bond Remixed.. transferring the music onto a DVD slide show via an MD Deck into Aux-in of Sima A/V Mixer..

dave mathews band - before these crowded streets (cd > md > cd-r) digital then analogishly

"Highway Blues" by:: Marc Seales (New Stories).. (just something me piano student asked me to put on CD-R and i got it off U-Tub) *oh,, i like it*
-
i would rather modify my pants and modify my pockets into speakers;; save my fanny pack for food.. i saw that and had a chuckle;; but,, then MY (rayzray's) fanny pack has ALL the things to record any thing at anytime,, anywhere..
-
you can call me a "Copy-Kat"; you can call me a "Man-Not_Fat";; you can call me a "Big-Big Rat;; but don't call me an "Md-Scat".. could be a name of a song i would write and put on my Hi-MD900;; but i am too busy playing the above "Night Train" and "C-Jam Blues" on my Casio > my Yamaha MD-Deck;; Beck would be Leck-tri fied.. "Georgia on my Mind" is just toooo sad and slow for my mood swing..
-
need to know if i can "re-set" some of my quirky MD-Decks;; i see that some of yous are asking about resetting some of the portable units..
-
yous got me in a jazz mood.. i just put together a playlist for my Hi-MD900#2 next to my bed.. 1. perdido - herbie mann / buddy collette 2. i fall in love too easily - bill evans 3. blues march - art blakely 4. please be kind - art tatum 5. round midnight - miles davis 6. yardbird suite - gene krupa 7. groovin high - dizzie gelespie 8. blue frenzy - freddie hubbard 9. green chimneys - thelonious monk and a couple of songs from Greg Abotti (a local guy) who tours around the world..

gee,, i'm gonna be 64 and LOVE the top 40 and follow it and record it faithfully;; love RBHH;; most Rap is pretty good,, and ALL the music youzz like.. right now as i am listening to The Flaming Lips;; i can't think of anything else i don't like;; perhaps just a "Lack-of-talent" in anyone is what i am looking for.. i HATE artists with a "Lack-of-talent" maybe the White Stripes and their lack of something;; perhaps (the rest of the band)..!!
-
music is like "Soup-of-the-Day";; sometimes you have to suck it up just to please you better half.. so,, i tell my wife;; gee,, i like the station you are listening too;; when in actuality;; i can't stand it.. i can take a "Three-chord" country song and improvise a double speed sax jazz solo along with it in my head.. so,, we can take ANY song we hate and re-frame it;; re-tame it-- and re-claim it.. basically i hate any music that reminds me of the past;; my life only goes forward,, and new music keeps me young.. a good re-mix;; even a Marylin Manson one can crust the day off good,, sometimes.. (oh,, i hate most Manson's songs)..
-
* how can i NOT be logged in sometimes!!* Hootie and the Blowfish;; VH1 Concert i am editing for my own collection;; it's nice to SEE who plays the cymbal;; who plays "middle C";; and which drummer is on on each song.. i always concidered them a "Chick Band" when i was DJ'ing,, but there are an awefull lot of guys singing along wit them in the audience.. funny how they save their best songs for the "Encore"..
-
some really good Electronica stuff.. so,, i am transferring the TV recorded music into my Sony MXD-D40 on a Standard MD.. some examples of somes:: - da funk - daft punk - my egyptian lover - space cowboy - weapon of choice - fatboy slim - sex n money - oakenfold / pharrell williams -this is new york - kleinesberg, sander - summertime cowboy - husky rescue - because we rock (B'cos we rock) - Brassy - firestarter - prodigy - martyr - depeche mode - shake and pop - green velvet / walter phillips and more - will "devide" and "delete" the ones i don't like anymore.. then from that;; i will burn a CD for back-up and snack-up..
-
listening to Bonnie Raitt on DVD i made from VH1's Old Grey Whistle Test concert.. don't know the titles,, but i think the intro mc guy rants them.. i don't care about the titles ,, i just like to listen to her voice.. she does mention she is from around MY (rayzray's) area.. gee, i never saw her at "Indian Ranch" when i was small;; oh,, she's not that old.. gee,, i miss my clavichord and flanger!! (and wha-wha pedal)

listening to my latest project me and one of my piano student conjured up;; it an audio mix of some various electronic and pop-dance and trance WITH syncronized VIDEO clips from the Windows Media Visualizations COMBINED with my Sima A/V Mixer doing rollercoaster rides,, tornadoes,, oceans,, fireplaces,, cartoonish pirate ships flying across the ocean;; all in sync and;; for the cherry on the coffee,, an anami-cartoon movie of the Family Guy Closet Monkey kicking some A**;; that is he is beating up two animated figures;; and all referried by a bobble head turtle from Mexico.. how can i get all this on my Hi-MD900's.. OH playlist:: 1. Crazy - Kevin Ferdeling/britney Spears (rap) 2. Mr Roboto (my extended rayzray remix) 3. a Fatboy Sim techno song i dont know the name of 4. Bang Bang-My baby's Dead Electronica/Dance version of a Chere song.. 5. Romeo (dance version) 6. somekind of electronica instrumental 7. another head banging funkish electronica instrumental - with great rollercoaster ride vid 8. Romeo (AGAIN!!) how did this happen;; but the video makes up for it.. 9. Never Ending Dream - Cascada;; *i LOVE her*.. 10. Wouldn't It Be Good - Cascada 11. Can't stop the rain - Cascada ((can't get eough of her)) 12. Ready for Love- Cascada ((ok,, i'm game))

they boasted 1,000,000 recordings on one standard disk when it started;; i must be getting close to that by now.. HiMD must be about the same;; right??
-
Ok,, so,, i put my NEW Casio 8000 keyboard (not my Yamaha 8000 i always say),, and put tone # 526 ON (applause);; AND,, i recorded part of it onto a standard MD disc and "Looped" it.. *as the Casio is still playing*.. they are inputting to my Eurorack MXB 1002 mixer into my main amp thru the speakers and thru the walls (the mailman is watching my house).. so,, now they are both applauding for yous guys and i wonder which one will applaud the longest.. this could go into the Guinnis Book of Applauses!!
-
^^^^ thanks richyhu.. i am listening to my own re-mix of Cascada's Truly Madly Deeply;; i thought it was a bit toooo slo;; i sped it up to 101.7 BPM and did a few loops at the beginning..
-
well;; i (rayzray) always talks about my 27 MD Decks and etc;; more correctly;; about 21 Decks and 6 Portables,, including my 2 Hi-MD900's.. they don't all work 100%,, but,, as they die;; i give them little jobs before throwing them in "The PILE".. Some don't record any more so,, they become "Players" but,, only INTO another Deck that records and joined either optically or analogicaly?? they become a "Pair" that have a specific job.. (like Editing).. one pair even can be wheeled into da bathroom)).. a couple act as a analog to digital converter and vice versa.. my favorite one;; just sits there on it's END and does nothing except control the "Digital Volume" going into my Computer #1 Via an (Optical/Coaxal Converter);; so,, i just sit there and watch the "wave" on my Comp screen and adjust the MD-Unit's Volume knob to keep the signal from Overdrive.. i try to record as much as possible with analog in order to save the optical blocks;; but my two main units just steal digital music off the music stations like water over a waterfall.. (legally,, of course)).. i have a Yamaha deck;; practically new that just sits near my wife's TV in case i hear and interesting sound/clip in one of her boring movies;; then just reverse a bit and like a frog eating a bug;; i lap it up into the Yamaha MD-Deck.. another unit takes fits;; and just freezes when i record with it;; it records the whole session;; then wont eject the disc;; and NONE of the buttons seem to work;; so,, have an AC-Foot-Switch that shuts it off from the AC currant and then when i put the AC back;; it shows the TOC blinking and voila;; spits out my MD disc like the octapuss in Pirates of the Caribbean II.. my Hi-MD900#2 NEVER EVER responded to the "Stop" button;; so i gave in and got a "remote";; i tell the "non-Believers" that that remote is an MP7 and more than twice the goodness of their MP3's;; they are so stupid;; they believe me.. i am sure that a lot of my other units are coming to their final days;; but,, i will give them their final jobs in life and let them go in dignity.. moral of this story;; there are more uses for what you have than what you think.. as far as "The PILE",, i lays there in da the cellar ;;claiming cellar space;; cellar property that my wife can't have.. (i'd rather see my precious junk there than her junk junk..

mmmm;; soooo you are saying Bose makes them for brookstone;; or brookstone sells Bose stuff?? i didn't mean to swear the word,, "Bose".. i do own at least a hundred Brookstone items including my big a** turbo neck vibrator!! can't hear the music in da ear buds,, though,, when i use it..
-
^ yeah;; these were right next to the ones i saw;; for the money;; you can't go wrong;; and they almost "fit-in" with the white Apple look.. i like Brookstone stuff;; and you can take them back and exchange for another one pretty easy;; especially cracked memory foam.. Brookstone stuff is like a compromize between Apple and the rest of the world.. teens and kids LOVE Brookstone (you can always find them in and on the "vibrating" equipment.. MAYBE,, Sony should have sold their MD and Hi-MD unitS out of Brookstone and made Apple eat themselves.. oh,, i think next time i go to Brookstone;; i will buy one of these retractable,, white;; virtual sounding ear things just for FUN..

^ well,, this was a nice read;; thanks.. i think i will settle down with my 27 MD/Hi-MD units and my 11 Panasonic DVD recorders and laugh at this whole thing.. at almost 64 years old;; i certainly feel that i am all set with audio/video gadgetts;; i make the pirate of the carebbean look like a row-boater.. i will NEVER pay a high price for ANY of the upper Gadgets;; but i should rooot for one or the other.. as much as i Hate Sony and computers,, i HATE Apple even more;; why did i even say that.. i'll go with used equipment anyday;; proven equipment;; like common sense;; my gutt feeling;; i will keep my MD's and Hi-MD and "Ride out da Storm".. i have spent my whole life screwing the system;; and why should i change now.. yous all can keep this NEW tech stuff;; i will buy something only when it has proven itself.. as a little boy;; i always hung around the BIG guys;; and until one of the technologies proves it is a "Big Boy" i will enjoy my lots-of-little stuff.. this was a statement from the Rayzray paradise..
