  1. *edit* Just thought i;d mention that the remote is awesome. Why? How can a remote be awesome? Well some remotes only work at certain angles, maybe i'm the only guy with one remote like this, but this remote has a sensor right over the top and juussst underneath it, so you can hold the remote at just about any angle, even at yourself should you wish to do so (i've tried ), and it will still work. Ideal if you cant be bothered to get off the couch or ever move
  2. happy birthday to MZ-NH1. Hope ur 18th is a good one. I didnt get strippers on mine, so im hoping my 21st will have those oh well.
  3. Just get it from audiocubes and be done with it: <a href="http://www.audiocubes.com/product/Sony_RM-MC40ELK_Universal_Hi-MD_remote.html?ref=5&affiliate_banner_id=1" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.audiocubes.com/affiliate_show_banner.php?ref=5&affiliate_pbanner_id=981" border="0" alt="Sony RM-MC40ELK Universal Hi-MD remote"></a> <a href="http://www.audiocubes.com/product/Sony_RM-MC40ELK_Universal_Hi-MD_remote.html?ref=5&affiliate_banner_id=1" target="_blank">Sony RM-MC40ELK Universal Hi-MD remote</a>
  4. I managed to transfer the file at fake SP, and im pretty sure it would have worked at lp4. Yeah, i aggree its a bit bazaar that the jb980 is doing that. I will only get nervous when it starts giving me hiccups with regular, non-connect files, lol.
  5. try burning them in for a day. The sound gets better.
  6. * edited* no need to be mean You CAN NOT use a remote that is a radio remote with any unit that doesnt have the specific radio PORT. So, for your 600 himd you can NOT use the radio for 'radio capable' remotes.
  7. Hey mr bass, one ques, I have an mz-n910. I was having trouble transfering a track i bought off connect to a disc using my jb980, but when i did it with my n910 it worked, It would transfer up to 95% and say 1 second remaining, but then it would just sit there. I cant understand it
  8. haha, thats one of the reasons i got the premium membership, altho i do say that was only 1 of the reasons. How much is the trip to CES going to cost? I wouldnt mind goin, if it wud be less that a thousand dollars.
  9. haha i thought i spotted a little bit of 'phallic' humour there...
  10. I think so, But the speakers arent picking up interference. Its just the spin up noise of the deck itself.
  11. haha, if i carry mine when im running, i can actually feel the hdd inside spinning more as if to stop it skipping, but it doesnt actually skip on me.
  12. I'm also connected all the time (wireless), Try deleting sonic stage stuff from the registry, and installing 3.3. Only do this if you have a backup of ur library and all the stuff to return ur library to how it was from scratch.
  13. Cheers for the input dude. Its only a little bit annoying if I am only listening at a low volume on my micro system. I suppose it is more 'customary' for hifi owners to keep the deck itself a few metres away from the speakers? My md deck is right next to my speakers, that might be making the noise seem louder.
  14. The lense is duffed. Try taking a cotton swab, putting some nail polish remover in it, and GENTLY go over the lense. If that doesnt do anything at all, then fork out for a lense cleaning mindisc, tdk and sony make them. You can get one from www.audiocubes.com if you cant find one off a local etailer.
  15. Nothing happens at all when u click yes? Does the Connect shop work?? Or is it only gracenote that doesnt want to work>?
  16. Yeah its pretty cool. At the moment I am listening to: In the Round-The Cardigans, from their new album super extra gravity. An awesome track, the beat just ticks ticks ticks, damn. And by the way this girl can sing and is mucho hot tsssss....
  17. I wish they would do a remake of the jb980 as a himd deck, same styling, but with himd inside. yum
  18. Set it to PCM. If you record optically you shouldnt really have to change an settings i dont think. Give it a try. Best to record via analogue out if you ask me. When i record from a digital out to my portable md recorder, the optical signal is too strong, i.e is higher than 44khz and i get crackling.
  19. Well, a while back, the spring on the recording slider tab, on my mz-n910 came loose. I wasnt going to send it to off for repair, so i took a few shots as i was opening it up, so that i could re-trace my steps. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/gre...ny/P6050003.jpg ** http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/gre...ny/P6110006.jpg ** http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/gre...ny/P6110008.jpg I did get this unit second hand off ebay so thats why i did this, I wouldnt do it to my hd5. Maybe in a few years time.
  20. All i can say is that every time i look at my desktop I am a happy man
  21. Danni please..mmm.... haha. Send kylie to the old aged home along with madonna and i will be a happy man.
  22. Did you install the full version from the sony web site? I didnt have any issues on my comp and i installed the one from the sony web site. Ive bought about 15 songs since i got my hd5. Its sh!!!y if you download the music, and then have your comp crash. Then you have to send them (sony connect people) loads of emails to get them to give you the tracks again. If you are going to get any songs, its best to use all the check-outs as soon as you get them, in case anything bad happens to ur comp.
