ROFL its absolutely classic dude. Its a show where they have two families swap wives, (not sex or anything), and normally the wives are complete opposites. The one would be a really low class woman and the other a more upper class one. Its basicly reality tv. Picture kids eating junk food while another kids mother tells you off and the father says let them eat what they want etc.

the thing that it uses to record, a magnetic recording block, has died, It happens to all minidisc recorders eventually. All you can do is get a new recorder really or replace the part but that normally isnt worth the money as it can be very expensive.

I have a LaCie D2 Extreme 160Gb external hard disk, ac powered. http://www.lacie.com/uk/products/product.htm?pid=10511 (industry rated at 160 gigs , obviously they rate a gig as 1000mb not 1024, so its actually about 158gb)However it does rule, hands down. Its got 2 firewire 800 ports 1 fire 400 port USB port (can be used at usb one or two speed). 8mb buffer It got excellent revies from cnet if you value their reviews. take it to service place Transfering tracks using another computer would definetly show if there was an issue with the recorder.

we're talking himd here? I dunno what to say, sounds like the unit is buggy, you could try installing s.s elsewhere,import a cd to that comp, and see if it works there. other than that im stumped.

I dont think u get scms if u re-burn. I ripped a dvd to another disc and didnt get scms. Give it a try, whats to lose? 1 blank disc>?

hmm i'd wait for the 3rd gen himd if i were you, but if you like whats out there, just get the rh10. As much as i hate the fingerprints thing and cheapness of plastic its the top of the range at the moment.
