"You can get high quality sounds" Sounds like a bit of engrish to me
-
wahahaha Ivan! I myself cannot stand people who don't use the turn signal. It's the damn law! You can help me when I'm trying to get out and you're turning in, if I know it before you get right at the turn!

Forget that, what if he throws a neuros!

If you have lots of mp3s and don't want to record in real time I say go for the 2nd generation Hi-MD. You could just buy an MDLP/NetMD unit, but you'd still have to deal with conversion of the file format with the slow computer. Though I would mention that I've seen instances of some mp3 files not playing due to the codec used or bit rate or program used to encode or edit id3 tags or something else, it's never clear and the reason is usually unapparent....no definable pattern, just some files work while some didn't so I can't say "if you encoded with this then it will/won't work". If you don't want to put out for the MZ-RH10 (223 shipped), I've seen the MZ-RH910 for 166 shipped (though out of stock). Amazon Marketplace has a refurb RH910 for 173 shipped and here is a ebay buy it now for 179 shipped. I just thought I'd share a little shopping I've done on the two as I am getting one myself. I am getting the RH10 as soon as I sell the MZ-NH1. I'd go for the 910 but I CANNOT pass up the organic el display!

how do you put music from my comp to simple burner
akijikan replied to mdstreetracer's topic in Software
Simple Burner is only for copying tracks from a CD in your CDROM drive to your MD unit. Use Sonic Stage to convert your mp3 and WMA files to ATRAC and transfer to your MD unit. To do that, click the button at the top left of SS3.3 that says transfer. -
Ebay is my favorite place: This guy is selling 1450mAh sticks for ₤2.4 (or $4.16) + ₤4.5 (or $7.80) but they're not sony brand. This guy has 2 sony NH-14WM for $8.95 + $9.00 shipping. Two sony brand for 17.95 isn't bad (better than the one above).

yeah me too...you certainly didn't though, just sounded like I might have when I went back reread what I said...silly internet, give me my tone of voice back!

Did I offend you?

A Sony Voice Network sister forum, ATRACLife has a thread about it here. Distributed first in the UK with the NW-A series a month before it the new Walkman was released in Japan, it doesn't seem to have a warm reception. See the link for details.

Gerg's model of "Don't fix it if it ain't broke" is probably the best idea. Why "touch" it until you have a reason to?

Purple Butterfly It's a Hong Kong movie about a chinese girl who falls in love with a japanese man who and ends up fighting against him in thing resistance, during WWII that is.

by "from Downloads" he means on this site, on the top to the right. Sorry A440, but being the bungie-poster this guy appears to be, I'm pre-empting the apparent next question.

I used to spend a lot of time on http://www.sixthseal.com because they guy was a druggie and always posted "trip reports" in his blog that were often hilarious. He got addicted to meth and benzos and it became a huge problem for him though. He also posts a lot of restaurant reviews and retail reviews that are interesting. He recently had to remove his drug stuff at the behest of the Malaysian Government after his blog was sensationalized in the local newspapers and tabloids. My free webhost, http://www.astahost.com, is interesting because all it is is a forum, but depending on the length of your post you get "credits" Once you reach 10 credits you can apply for 20 megs of hosting with 500 mb monthly bandwidth but at 30 credits you get 150 megs of space with 5 gigs of bandwidth. The best thing is that you have all the features of paid professional hosting (such as NO ADS, cPanel, Frontpage extensions, PHP, CGI, Perl, MySQL, and free support, unlimited FTP and Email accounts) Earning credits isn't hard either as I had 20 in a day. Quite worth it if you're a cheap-a** who doesn't want to pay for anything and don't mind spending time making quality posts in a web forum. I'm always on eBay because I go to thrift stores and buy stuff to sell. The best profit? Stoneware. I have this place I can buy brand name stoneware between 25-75 cent per full size plate and sell it on ebay for 5-8 dollars per plate. All the housewives have to complete their sets! Besides selling, I buy all my stuff on there. Especially when it comes to electronics, there's no better price! I read Undercover in Japan. It's a blog of one of my friends who teaches english in Japan. He is a shutterbug and there are so many great pictures and link to his Flickr gallery with tons more. I like to cycle his full size shots as desktop backgrounds. As a crazy-right-wing conservative (not! please don't think I'm one of those religious nuts, I don't go to chruch!) I have to read http://www.foxnews.com because its the only fair major newssource out there. When I'm building a computer, I do all my shopping at http://www.pricewatch.com. It's like those other shopping bots out there, but it has a more complete list of sources and always finds the best price for any computer related component. They've also expanded into electronics. As a college football and Tennessee Volunteers fanatic I spend a lot of time at http://www.utsports.com and http://www.volquest.com as far as Tennessee sites go. For all sports I go to http://www.espn.com and for general college football websites I like http://www.heismanpundit.com and http://mgoblog.blogspot.com. The latter is the home of the blogpoll, which is a college football poll made up of more than 50 college football bloggers. That's enough for now, don't ya think?

Brilliant! I just gave this a try and it works very well! I actually had to trim mine a bit, because when the foam is fully expanded it's too much for my ears (it hurts), but a great idea. I had to retire a pair because I couldn't find my original set of silicone pieces nor did I want to put out for a set of new ones. Thanks a ton!

HOT! - Sony Hi-MD MZR-H10 and Spare Discs and Cases and More!
akijikan replied to imzu's topic in Classifieds
There's always a downfall in these situations, and greenmachine just nailed it! Judgement, people, exercise it! The best of judgement would have been not to do it at all, but at least the less-than-excellent judgement wouldn't have made it blantent. -
Thank you everyone this item has sold.

haha! horse stuff! Did ya get that thing I sentcha?

Atrac3plus sounds good or even with the some of the lower bit rates (though for me, the 96kbps sounds just okay), so you can really cram a lot on one 1gb disc. Sure didn't take a lot of convincing, eh? I remember when I saw my first minidisc recorder, the R37. Didn't take a lot of convincing for me either. I pretty much had to hold it in my hand once and listen to a couple of songs. Being the gadget freak that I am, I had to have it. No one I knew had anything like it (at school) and I wanted something like that to show off so badly. I've used a regular MD, a NetMD/MDLP and now I've got my Hi-MD MZ-NH1. You're probably not shopping for one of those though, since it's a first generation Hi-MD unit. Let me say you are going to love Hi-MD. The second generation unit you're considering even lets you play MP3s without recoding to ATRAC. Looking at the manual There doesn't appear to be a search function from the remote. If you want a remote with an LCD display, you'll have to buy it in addition to the unit. The US edition RH10 only comes with a button remote with no LCD.

I guess someone needs to break out the voltimeter to look and see if the USB port on the PSP is powered? My money is on no.

I live in Chattanooga, TN (USA) (about 2 and half hours north of Atlanta, GA). I was born in Knoxville, TN before moving to Victoria, TX when I was 1. It was screw up because my dad took a jo b with DuPont and they told him they needed him in Victoria for 2 years and then they would move him to their Chattanooga plant so he could be close to home. Right. After 11 years my dad finally said they had to move him, or he would quit. Apparently he was valuable enough to them that they did so and I've been here in Chattanooga ever since. My background is interesting. On my dad's mom's side, my seven-greats grandfather was Issac Thomas who fought beside John Sevier (first governor of Tennessee) in the Revolutionary War and was paid for his service with a land grant. He named that land grand after his friend John Sevier and donated to start Sevierville in Sevier County. In addtion to Sevierville, Sevier County also countains Pigeon Forge and the popular Somkey Mountain resort town Gatlinburg. The last of the land belonged to my great-grandmother as a farm on which my dad spent a lot of time growing up. She left it to my grandmother and her two brothers. A resort development group wanted to buy the land as it was almost directly on the main strip of Pigeon Forge. One of the brothers sold the land while my Grandmother and her other brother lease. Needless to say the one who sold the land was ripped off. It was really Commercial dream property! You can stay on my great-grandmother's farm if you rent a cabin at the New Echota resort site. I only know a little about my dad's dad. He came from detroit and is half-italian. My dad remembers him saying that he didn't want to get into the family business. Yes, organized crime! That's about all I know though. On my mom's side all I know is that her great-grandmother is full Cherokee Indian. Hope that's enough info for you.

HAha! MD is the dark side? Wait, of course, because only MD is cool enough for the dark side right? Sorry you have to squint, but that's a kid getting hit in the head with a ball and falling on her butt. Its okay to laugh, I promise.

As much as I love this format, I do know one day hard drives will rule the world.

Hi You are experiencing a common problem with new RH10 units. It's a problem with the firmware. Sony offers a free upgrade with a firmware update to fix the problem. The bad news is you'll have to send it in, though Sony will cover all shipping costs See their website concerning the problem with a Sony support phone number you can call to set up the update: http://esupport.sony.com/perl/news-item.pl...e=EN&news_id=82
