The RH10 is a black american unit and it has the typical surface scratches that come with general use. It is fully functional. 210 dollars (will consider offers). Price prohibative is the phrase that comes to mind. Why buy two Hi-MD discs when you can get 10-12 regular discs for the same price? I just buy a lot of regular MDs and use them in Hi-MD mode

Eschelon, I believe the intent of the person who started this thread was to creat a philosophical discussion. This thread is not pointless. If anything, it is paramount to what makes us who we are. The discussion of politics, morality, and other such issues in the "arena of ideas" should be valued, protected, expressed, encouraged, and uplifted. Any CD player with an optical output is capable of sync recording with a minidisc recorder. The is is because sync recording is a operation that is all on the MD. It simply monitors the level of the optical input and doesn't record as long as there is no signal, but as soon as the signal starts, it starts recording. BTW, to answer your question, yes it will work since the Arcam Dica CD192 CD player does have optical output.
