I hate compression , I just go get a BIGGER hard drive LOL documents , pix , a Folder of pix , ....... yes compress the heck out of it so I can email it . But My Music is on MD ...... so why store it on my Drive ??? stopped counting my discs 6 years ago , toooo many .

V-Sur = is a Fake Dolby surround sound . Kind of a 3d effect , or spacializer . 6 Band Eq = is your Own personal , what feels good to you , ( you dont need someone to tell you what feels good ) Normalizer =" peak level control " so to speak from song to song Good Headphones , will make the changes in the 6 band EQ MUCH more apparent ..... cheap phones wont tell you very much But here is the caveat , The output of MD Portables , are designed for LOW IMPEDANCE headphones , 16 - 24 ohms ....... Any more than that , you put a strain on the HP Amp , and diminish the sound level . A Lot of the Bigger HP's will have 40 ohms, 100 ohms , even 300 Ohms in the cases of PRO HP's ( these need a separate, dedicated , Headphone Amp to sound good ) normal earbuds that come with the MD , aren't so dynamically apparent . But for around 40 - 50 dollars , you can get a decent pair of over the ear full sized Phones , for a better listening experience ( Yamaha RH-5MA is a good place to start, the cable is a bit long , but ...... they sound very good ) Phones make a HUGE difference , and I am sure MOST( if not all) of the Board will agree with that

Well I for one am not " Pouring salt" so to speak I actually had a conversation about this guy with someone else who had a very bad experience with him . I dont have prejudice in any way , I have 1 and ONLY 1 Prejudice , and that is against stupidity , dumb is dumb , Stupid is curable . Last night , I recorded , Big R Radio from the Internet onto TAPE >>>>> Sony TCD 5M then wandered around the House with my WMEX9 Walkman and TAPE >>>> with my headphones cranked up banging my head to some 80"s Big Hair .......... Even though I have no hair left to swing around like that But that TAPE , sounded way better than any MP3 player I have heard Fat , Punchy , HUGE Drums , Big Bass , and A DJ that had a song lineup that sounded like he was thinking it was a Friday night , and it was still FM Radio and the Net wasnt around yet . The Supply that is supposed to be with it is 10.5 volts DC , 800 ma. and it is VERY important to have that accurate. I have fried one of these on a wrong supply . The 2032-2025 Lithium is for the Clock and RAM ( yes it has a small memory function, for time stamp , and disc recording times etc . ) As for supplies If you cant find one , you can build one without too much effort . Agreed , but with a more cynical sense than humor . Recently those who have left MD but hang around here just to play devils advocate , sometimes get overboard and is is disruptive to the continuity of the board ( Not specifically meaning Sector ) but there are quite a few .

The RH1 is on Page 7 of that PDF . All the ones listed as incompatible , some have a DC input instead of USB , so use a USB to DC cable and the compatibility is then solved. The bottom one , Wow , 5 Amps , that is a lot of juice , in a small package . I will have to look or that one . and 2 USB ports ,cool , I have a 6 Volt Solar Panel that would go well with that one .

In an open air mass , there are pockets of density differences , and differing temperature areas due to ambient air and body mass of the crowd . Denser air will affect the equation as well because the sound will slow down in some places , more than others . What happens then is Phase variances in the overall sound field , that are at first not noticeable , and then on closer examination in a different environment where you are not distracted by the crowd , it becomes apparent In some case it is Very pronounced due to thermal activity in the Air . Experiment ,.........: large Glass bowl , fill it with cool Tap water , next Slowly pour into it , Warm water right in the middle of the Bowl , look thru the side of the bowl , and you will actually see the thermals , this is happening in the Air around you , you just cant see it , until the effects of it show , Leaves floating Up , Feathers , dust etc . I use my B10 for conferences , because of the built it mic , and 2xAA factor ( Both batts face the same direction too !! makes it a VERY quick change ) Battery life is quite long as well so I rarely have to change batts . especially with a New Charge on a set of Sanyo 2700 ma's For Speech an conferences it is fine , especially if your close to one of the sound output regions ( Speaker Stands or however it is setup ) The closer the speaker , then the Mic setting can be set to LOW , which gets rid of the Baby crying halfway across the auditorium that your in .
