The R50 has my attention just because it's an r50 , but I cant buy anything right now

The r37 has a different remote , they changed it when the r50 came around , there was no display and I think the funky headphone jack ......There is an R37 at hardoff I can look at the remote but it wont be for a couple days

The AT822 will work with your MD beautifully , The image you will get will bring an Immediate smile to your face , but be warned it will not agree with the H2 I have the AT822 , and the Sony ECM 959a , and just recently came into possesion of an ECM-MS5 These are all pro level mics , and they just dont agree with the H2 mic input , it is designed for High Impedance mics (1 Kohm or greater )

Hey 440 , I downloaded "Wish you were here" from iTunesplus , which is supposed to 256 kbps AAC which is better than mp3 . I wrote a very , shall we say "Passionate " email to apple expressing my disgust at what I heard . A certain member of the MDCF saved my sanity by sending me a Legitimate Copy of the same , But Properly done at Full cd quality , .....I would challenge anyone here to NOT hear the difference. Ray , get the RH1 , have a Good time with it . I use standard MD's and copy my vinyl all the time . I dont have to use the HI MD mode , so I have MD's that play on all my MD equipment, and they sound fine . The nicer your turtable , and clean LP's ( just before you play them ) will make a big difference in the high frequencies and smoothness of the sound.

My H2 is in the repair shop after just 3 weeks , Left front mic is bad , I did the firmware update , but that didnt help at all . So When it comes back from repair , It will probably go up for sale.

no Not a 58 , the 58 is not designed for MD . It is a stereo input with a very nice preamp , and the 907 is a Budget stereo mic , if he wants a nicer mic , the Nady , or AudioTechnica AT-822 . To use a Mono mic you have to make a special cable , which I have outline in a different post . Your MD then becomes an Interview machine , and you a BBC reporter .

Raj , this is gonna hurt ..... Get a Mac , and Get Parrallels , and a REALLY big external drive (Terrabyte) Install WinXP in Parrallels on the External drive and then Install Sonic Stage to that WinXP system , Block that XP from the internet from within Parrallels , ( The Parrallels will be on the Mac , the XP on the external) then put all the music you want to on it , and just keep the XP sys clean , dont put anything else in it .

It does have Mic input . SONY mic input W/plugin power .......Not ZOOM , Not Noisy , it will be the preamp that is in the RH1 most likely ,if not maybe a little nicer . Just on that alone ....I want it .

Nice looking peice of gear , and the price point says that Sony is thinking a little . For 599 List (which means 499 in the store . ) I think I will have to get it when it is available ,

You Have a Split window ? hmmmm didnt take you for a Bus guy , mine was 68 ' Panel bus , with Camping conversion and poptop .

Now That , I CAN get . They dont fit all that well ( a Weee bit tight ) but at one of the places I go they Have Aluminum MD Cases , flip open type , EXACTLY fits one MD with No case , and when I say exact , I mean the air is squeezed out from between , LOL . I will post some pics of those tommorrow.

The only one left in production is the Rolls MX34 , it would suit the RH1 perfectly . http://www.rolls.com/products/mx34.php I want one , but I cant get it in Japan . Been trying , but nobody carries Rolls here , and Rolls wont ship overseas directly , I would have to go thru a third party .
