MDietrich
looking at the old links of my "had" list, makes me want to buy all of them back from ebay out of the 6 in my had list, is the r90 still the best in battery w/ aa option? I find it to be that way. Others may disagree though. For me however, this unit is the most convenience mixture out of good playback sound, reliability, manufacturing quality and running time. sfbp
a N910 got stolen also in the 90´s I don't think so. The MZ-N910 dates from 2003.
punkrockaddict
Yea that´s correct. I can´t clearly remember what unit it was but it was netmd capable. So this must have happened in the early 2000´s One awful thing is that i didn´t catch a new unit until 2010. It was a joy to listen to all those old md records again.

Mosaic
Hello, I am new to this forum as a member but I've been reading posts for some months now and finally wanted to get in touch with MD users. It was when I lost my Creative Visions M two years ago that I deciced to get rid of the MP3 format and concentrate on Minidisc only by recording old CDs, MCs, Vinyl and FLAC files. My uncle gave me his old but almost unused Sharp MR50 and a couple of blanks next to some bootlegs he recorded from a Saint Germain concert. 300 recoded MDs and a bunch of units later I am very happy about going anachronistic and growing a healthy Minidisc obsession. I guess like most of todays MD users I like the feel and haptics that remind me of my childhood using MC and recording shows of the radio on friday night. Also it made me change the way i listen to music. I went from skipping tracks to actually listening to the entire album as i hardly ever divide my recordings into tracks. As you can see from the list below I am only into Units with a metal or aluminium body (with a little crappy NetMD exception). After recieving a unit I usually take it apart and clean the display from dust, as well as the body and inside parts. I kept some units that do not work anymore so I can replace some broken parts and missing screws Have: Sony: JE-330 R3 E20 R30 R35 R37 (silver) R37 (purple) R50 R55 (blue) R55 (silver) R70 R90 (blue) R90 (black) R90 (silver) R91 R900 Sharp: MS200 MT15 701 721 SR50 MT866 Aiwa: F5 F72 Panasonic: MR100 JVC: XM-R70 all of the above are in perfect working order Had: DR410H (sold) Want: MZ 909 MZ R900 white Japanese Edition, red and blue Best regards, Mosaic
Azureal
Welcome Mosaic, and if I may say, very nice collection! I love your display cabinet, that is the right way to display one's units!
Mosaic
Thank you. I will take some better pictures when the daylight hits the cabinet. I haven't come across a thread for md unit pictures. If there is one please let me know.
Arr-Nine-Hundred
Wow Mosaic, very meticulous presentation. I also like MD for their simplicity of "changing playlist=changing disc" and their tactile nature. I am imagining in 100 years time a museum of early 21st/late 20th century artefacts will have a corner looking like that.
