  1. To be honest, I don't know. I'm not familiar with the MZ-M models. Is it a Canadian or European model?
  2. I don't think it would fit on your MZ-M10. The battery case for MZ-NH900 would probably only fit MZ-NH models. I have an MZ-RH10 and the battery case for this unit will work on all MZ-RH models. Try finding a battery case for MZ-M models, that's more likely to work for you. But I may be wrong, so anyone else is free to correct me.
  3. Sounds like you're running programs in the background which takes up memory. Close all other programs and then run SonicStage again, it can be very needy of resources.
  4. Change the recording mode to Hi-SP or PCM. If you don't know how to do it, look in your manual. That will give you sound quality closer to the original source. You should also post the model number of your minidisc player, that way others here with that model can guide you on what to do.
  5. Thanks for all the input guys. I was not selected to be on the Jury so that's the end of that. I ended up not taking my Hi-MD just to be on the safe side, considering it's not just a playback unit, it's a recorder, which is a no-no in the courts.
  6. Thanks for the reply. My unit will go in a bin and then pass through an X-ray screener. I will walk through a metal detector. I'm not concerned about the metal detector. I'm concerned about the x-ray screener messing up my unit or the discs. I'm taking just to listen to music while I wait.
  7. I have to report for Jury duty tomorrow which basically means I sit in a room and wait to be put on a Jury. If I'm lucky, they won't need me and that's the end of that. Either way, I'm going to end up waiting a few hours and I want to take my RH10 to listen to music. The thing is, when you enter the court house you have to remove your personal belongings and put them in a bin that goes through an X-ray screener. My question is, will this screener damage my unit and/or the discs? Thanks.
  8. I chatted with a Sony rep online about the volume buttons triggering the search mode (I'm sure those with the RH10 know what I'm referring to). He told me to reset the unit and this is how to do it: 1.) Remove battery 2.) Wait 1 minute or more 3.) Insert battery According to him, this resets the RH10. I've noticed that the volume buttons don't trigger the search mode as much as before. So I guess it does work.
  9. Yeah I did. It read: I fine ass girl took a dump in my mouth. She was so fine, I thought her sh** would taste like chocolate. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I removed that sig. thinking it might be offensive. But I'm considering a new sig. I would only eat "recycled" food from Jessica Simpson or Jennifer Lopez. What do you guys think?
  10. Yeah, you're pretty close. Basically "corn" refers to a girl who is so fine that you would gladly eat the corn kernels out of her sh**. For example, Jessica Simpson is corn; Jennifer Lopez is corn. I posted this here because it was off topic, but sorry if it was offensive.
  11. Let's see if anyone can figure this out. What does "corn" mean if i use it in this sentence: That girl is sexy as hell, she is corn. Post your guesses and I'll let you guys know if you're close.
  12. I thought ATRAC3plus was the best encoder Sony had to offer but I've heard of ATRAC 4.5 used in other models (non Hi-MD). What is the difference and shouldn't it be available for Hi-MD?
  13. 1Kyle, when you get your RH1, please give comments on the following: 1.) The volume power of the unit 2.) The Bass and Treble response 3.) Equalizers, if available. 4.) Direct MP3 playback quality. Thanks.
  14. Sony, I want Simple Burner 3.0...NOW!!!!
  15. WEll hopefully the new RH1 will ship with new software. maybe someone in this forum will tell us, if they buy one.
  16. Windows media player has EQ to adjust sound. SonicStage does not, so it may not sound as clear.
  17. I like using Simple Burner for quick transfer to Hi-MD, but it doesn't have all the bitrates that SS 3.4 does. I would like the next version of SB,if there is one, to have all the bitrates for ATRAC3plus, ATRAC3 and even SP Stereo. Any chance of SB 3.0 coming out?
  18. If you have SonicStage 3.4 installed, Windows will recognize your Hi-MD player and it will see it as a removable drive. The problem now is, whether your car stereo will recoginize your Hi-MD unit.
  19. I've tried chatting with a Sony rep about it and they don't know what it is either. The only way to find out is if we ask one of the software engineers of SonicStage. But I'm starting to think that the "high" setting is probably just to prevent read errors. My DVD burning software has a similar setting and it helps to prevent read erros when copying a DVD. I guess that makes sense.
  20. You didn't explain what the "High" setting does in SS 3.4. That's the main question here.
  21. That's true, there is no "high" setting for ATRAC3. But there is a "high" setting for MP3 encoding. Does anyone know exactly what the "high" setting does?
  22. I also noticed that when ripping with SS 3.4 using ATRAC3plus Hi-SP with the "high" setting, it takes almost twice as long to rip a CD than it would if you used the "normal" setting. So maybe it is just ripping it slower to prevent errors and it's not enhancing sound quality.
  23. If you have MusicMatch Jukebox, uninstall that too. It was giving me problems with SS 3.4 and Simple burner.
  24. I think you're right. I ripped a song in 3 different ways: 1.) Simple Burner Hi-SP 2.) SS 3.4 ATRAC3plus "normal" Hi-SP 3.) SS 3.4 ATRAC3plus "high" Hi-SP. All 3 songs were the same size after encoding: 7,274,496 bytes. Is this proof that all 3 songs were encoded equally and with the same sound quality?
  25. Both SS and Simple Burner use the same modules. So even though Simple Burner software hasn't been updated, it's codecs have been updated. And if the "high" recording option only reduces disc errors, then SB and SS should offer the same Hi-SP quality.
