  1. I have a lot of 74' and even 60' MD blanks that fitted my "one album" per disc strategy...
  2. There is a good brand name a MD logic case. http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Portable-Mini-disc-player-come-with-a-case-of-24-mini-discs-/200893144264?pt=UK_Music_Other_Music_Formats_ET&hash=item2ec62a1cc8#ht_500wt_1203 This one in NYC (but more expensive) !!!!! http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Lot-of-24-Various-Minidiscs-in-Caselog-Binder-Sony-Maxell-HiSpace-more-/350711863395?pt=US_MiniDiscs&hash=item51a80e5863#ht_500wt_1203
  3. Anyway Net-MD MDLP recording units are not more expensive than SP only ones.
  4. You have now a pro unit that will work for years. Still, at this price (ans even cheaper) I would have prefer to find a 50, 333 or 555 Sony ES deck.
  5. virtual machines are usefull when you don't have the drivers for the OS, think of it
  6. I got that kind of case for less than 40.000 VND = 1,38 € with Hachi-Hachi http://www.hachihachi.com.vn/
  7. And if you can buy them for 6 or 7$ as second hand, don't give up
  8. I don't have your problem . As I live in Vietnam, there are a ton of cases which fitted (not perfectly sometime) for all MD portable units and also MD racks, specially in japanese accessories shops. You can also use cigar boxes and even vine corks as I explain in my olds posts here :
  9. Not expensive for a pro MD blank but why paying that much for a MD blank if it is not a beauty like a TDK Bitclub or Wa disc ? Hi-MD blank discs : eBay is the best way to find them.
  10. I was not aware that the creator of the MD channel's MD blanks gallery https://picasaweb.google.com/minidisc.channel?fgl=true&pli=1 had a forum of his own (Minidisc blank website) and sadly had not gotten it as a hit http://mdchannel.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=news&action=display&thread=26
  11. http://cgi.ebay.fr/TOP-END-SONY-MZ-NH1-MINI-DISC-RECORDER-IN-GOOD-CONDITION-W-SEALED-HD-MINIDISC--/111005708037?pt=UK_CE_Portable_Audio_Portable_CD_Players_ET&hash=item19d874af05
  12. I like that kind of way to sell a MD unit, full of details, pictures and passion
  13. I was not aware of that limit on the RH10. I have a NH700, a NH900 and a RH1. I don't record something with my RH700 yet but my NH900 and my RH1 both allready recorded in real time with line in dozens of MDs in SP and LP2 modes.
  14. i cannot fix your settings access but yes you can use any standard MD as a Hi-MD disc. Just ask the RH10 or SonicStage to use it that way.
  15. Looking at MD cases price and difficulty in searching them, it is much more easy to buy this time MD blanks with cases and a box fitted for MD blanks with no cases
  16. Personnaly I would convert first all CDs in Flac on the computer for a backup (on DVD-Rs) and then transfer / convert the MD via Sonic Stage in any Atrac format. You can also backup your CDs as Flac AND Atrac Advanced Lossless files. MDLP Bookshelves or MD-CD combos could be very usefull in your case.
  17. The french forum MDfr disappeared completely after a hacker attack years ago. Now in France we have the MD section in the Laserdisc Plaza forum.
  18. I have recorded a lot of MD with 24bit - 96kHz Flac tracks using my PC and my JB980 deck (--> hopely finally recorded in 24bit - 44,1kHz) all tracks downloaded illegaly* from Internet (*) I live in Vietnam, this is not that much illegal from there
  19. You can also use a old mobile phone Motorola charger...
  20. check here http://minidisc.org/part_Hi-MD_Sony.html and search AA
