There will always be Sony Neige! ;-)

I think it's fair to say that Audio T-Station is DEAD DEAD DEAD! I joined the Facebook group to see if we could have some historical version of the site just to go back to all the cool MD threads that were posted in its long history. I contacted a number of people to offer my help, and have been flatly ignored by all. I did get one moderator explain a bit of history but that was it. Obviously there is no will by ATB moderators to do anything. It's pretty disappointing to say the least

My 'cute' selection on EBAY has now been sold. However I do still have more Lego & Select Your Style discs. I've just relisted a full set on EBAY of 'Select Your Style' discs for $17 BIN, or I could offer a set for say $13 direct. I do have 1st gen Lumina in pink, but only in a sealed pack that I am unable to part with as I have only one.
-
I've cobbled together 13 'cute' discs and listed them on EBAY. All the discs are new, but removed from multipacks (hence the reason they don't have their retail wrapping on them). However they still all have some kind of cellophane around them. URL is: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151223498551?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 I've a few other discs for sale as well (which you'll see in my other items). These are marked up to cover EBAY's extortionate 11% sales fee, so open to offers outside of EBAY. Thanks

Are you looking for new or used discs? What's your max price per disc? I currently have some Axia 'Select Your Style' discs on EBAY at the moment. Just do a search for "Axia Minidisc", but make sure you change your search criteria to worldwide as I'm based in Australia. There are plenty of TDK WA & HO already on EBAY. I have Axia Lego discs as well as the 1st gen Lumina in blue. Other "cute" MD blanks I would recommend are the Chum discs (also on EBAY) and the Victor Pocop (which I have as well). Also other discs I like are 1st gen Victor AR, Xkai and Daiso Windows & Cube discs. Also Maxell Twinkle (I have a 5 pack of these with the metal shutter)

Looking for IM-DR80 accessories (dock and remote mostly)

Did you contact Danny? -
My suggestion would be to create a Picasa site. However the common thread here is Bland10000 and getting his approval. Once you could get in touch with Bland10000 via the Audio T-Station forums. However Audio T-Station is no more so I have no idea how you would get in touch. Recently I wanted to get in touch with 'JohnBabyDisc' (he who created the MDChannel Picasa site) but again with no Audio T-Station forum then this has proved impossible. Both users used to be very active in the MD scene (pre 2010) but I believe both have moved on to other recording mediums and are no longer active. There is a Facebook page for Audio T-Station but neither of them are members. So unless anyone knows the guy directly then I think we will struggle to get his approval.

sfbp - you are correct. Great site BTW - only one downside is that it doesn't always preserve the images. There are lots of captures www.akiba-gadgets.com for but the images are missing for the minidisc collections. Example: http://web.archive.org/web/20100830060637/http://www.akiba-gadgets.com/collection_pages/kenwood_units.htm

I still have link to the Victor units on this site that was: http://www.akiba-gadgets.com/collection_pages/victor_units.htm As you can see the link is dead. There was a user called 'jonathan10000' or something similar (Slugbahr will correct me) who was a regular on AudioTstation and this was his site. The site went dead about a year or so ago. He did reactive it for a time but it is now dead. I did however download all the pics in that time. He had quite a collection. This was the site where I discovered the beautiful Victor XM31 and others beside. However this site (with many others) is now just a memory for those who used to frequent it and as with AudioTstation itself will soon be forgotten as a site that was

Great article!

There seems to be a lot of posts with "up" in them!

Does anyone know who used to run the Audiostation website? Does anyone know how to get in touch with them? There was lots of great historical minidisc information & images on that website that I am keen to keep going. I would be happy to even host the website myself. Thanks.

Looks to be that way. Google isn't pulling up any past history or any images. When you would search for an image of a certain type of disc, you would always get one or two images come from Audiostation. Sadly now, that's not the case!

I have Windows 7, Sonic Stage & RH1 with no issues. Didn't do anything special. Just downloaded the latest version and worked first time. I have quite a few J-POP discs. Send me a PM if you are after anything in particular. Cheers Z

Each disc in a TDK CLEF 5 or 10 pack is simply wrapped in cellophane. I don't think TDK CLEF was ever released in a single disc version.

Danny (Slugbahr) & I have quite a few sealed discs for sale. Either fully sealed or new discs from multipacks that have been removed from their packets. Lots of Sony Neige, Prism & a few Bianca's. Maxell Twinkle 5-packs or Axia Slim packs. TDK MJ's, Axia 'Select Your Style' 5-packs, Axia J'z etc. Also got some sealed Prime Discs as well. I've listed some Axia 'Lego' discs on this forum but no-one was interested. So in the end I listed them on eBay. Something I'd rather not do as I hate paying eBay 10% of the sale and then the PayPal fee on top, but it seems the only way to sell things these days. We're based in Australia and maybe people get put off with paying $13 (USA) - $17(Europe) for postage for a 500g package, yet that's about the same price I'd have to pay to get a similar package sent out of the US or UK these days. If you're after less generic discs then they are harder to come by these days. The sellers of rare discs on eBay seems to have dried up. Even in the last few years the amount of rare discs around are less. Some discs you may never see for sale (e.g. Benetton, Kenwood etc). Maybe you can find some old collectors who can sell you some spares...

Wanted: Looking for the elusive Bit Club MDs...

Great find punkrockaddict. If you have Google Chrome installed then you can use the auto-translate into your local language. Yes the page is old but there is some useful information there. -
Wanted: Looking for the elusive Bit Club MDs...
zokuchou replied to Grungi Ankhfire's topic in Minidisc Trades
Great stuff Grungi! I saw that those 6 Bit-Clubs had been sold - a great start to your Bit Club collection. Now the hunt begins... In the meantime (while you search for Bit Clubs) other great discs I recommend are the Axia 'Select Your Style' discs, Maxell 'IRO IRO IRO' five pack and Victor XKAI discs (80 minute discs especially). Sergio - I don't know any more than you in regards to Bit Clubs. I don't know if the names I gave to the Bit Clubs are correct, I just used names that described the look of the discs. Happy Collecting! -
Wanted: Looking for the elusive Bit Club MDs...
zokuchou replied to Grungi Ankhfire's topic in Minidisc Trades
Good luck! There was recently the blue traffic lights on EBay, but you will struggle to get this set I'm afraid. Last time it sold on EBay it went for a silly amount of money. Do you have any Bit Clubs at all? The most common are Fire/Blue Circles/Pink Lady/Zebra. Then Mona Lisa/Yellow Arrows/Bar Code. Pink Circles/"Outstanding Performance"/Blue Traffic Lights come up every now and then but are getting hard to find. The rest...well, good luck! I'm still searching for the 'US Maps' which I've yet to see in the last 3 years of collecting! -
Does anyone have any old Carrefour MD's in their collection of discs that they would be willing to sell? Carrefour is a French supermarket that used to sell their own branded MD's. Not very sexy - just Maxell discs with plastic shutters, with 'Carrefour' written just above the shutter. However I'd like one for my collection. Will pay cash or possible trade. Thanks, Zokuchou.
-
I've also got other sealed/unsealed (but new) MD's of various makes and prices that I can throw into the mix if anyone is interested.
-
Hi Sergio, I think we need a Japanese resource to answer these questions about Bit Clubs. Someone who worked at the TDK pressing plant would be even better but I certainly don't have the contacts. Danny (a.k.a. Slugbahr) always says that Ishiyoshi (who used to post on these forums) had quite a selection of TDK Bit Clubs. Maybe if someone can track him down and see what he knows?

I have a few sets of Aixa 'lego' minidiscs for sale. Discs are new and still sealed individually. Price is $12.50 for the set of 5, or $22.50 for 10. International postage is approx $17-$19 (depending where you are in the world), which is what the actual postage charge will be. Payment via Paypal + fee. Picture attached. Thanks for looking, Z.

Great stuff! Very jealous of your TDK Bit Club collections. Favourite by far is the floor plan Bit Club.
