  1. Thanks for the reply and I appreciate it!! Sorry...I thought you were referring to a particular thread... I briefly looked through the article and I guess I'm not the only one with this issue. I saw several posts about people doing "service manual adjustments" on other models to increase the charging voltage due to this problem. Is this complicated, and can I do it with the RH-10? Thanks for your always useful help, Sean
  2. I don't think I found the info you're referring to. Please post a link when you have the time...no real rush. Thanks, Sean
  3. It's not a link that I can click...please re-post.
  4. Hello Ev1, I have about 4 batteries (all bought within the last year brand new) They all arrived dead and I could only get two to charge, one I had to play with for a bit to get it to start charging. It seems on VERYDEAD batteries that the RH-10 has a very tough time charging them. Any suggestions on how to get the other two to start charging? I have managed to get one of them to make the RH-10 display the charging screen for about 1 minute, then it goes blank and stops. I am currently sitting here and pressing the "stop/charge" button every minute hoping that it will start charging on its own. I will let you know if I have any success. I would be much appreciative if someone would have any tips on how to get the other battery to even begin charging. Please help and Thank You!!! Sean
  5. I would have loved to have owned one of these when that verison of Atrac was current
  6. Holy hell!!!! I paid less for my RH-10 about 3 months ago!!!! That's absurd! And WOW for selling the 910 @ $110!!! Brand New!!!! I would have bought it in a heartbeat, even for $200!!! You gave that away!
  7. WOW!!! This is really cool!! I have never seen this until now! The docking station also offers an optical toslink out!! I don't think it has MDLP capabilities though :-( Still neat as hell!!! Check it out!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sony-MD-Walkman-Minidisc-Portable-Recorder-MZ-R4ST-Docking-Awesome-Cond-/290868546541?pt=US_Personal_MiniDisc_Recorder&hash=item43b91dcbed
  8. Oh I understand now....you were talking about the remote...lol!
  9. WOW!!! What an awesome price!!! What condition was the unit in? I paid over $300 for mine but it as almost new condition.
  10. Wait...I have an RH-10 and it has 2 "EL Light" options. One is "auto off" and the other is "on" which leaves the backlight lit permanently. Did you not know about this option? Or is the European model different? Curious to know, Sean
  11. Damn these classes are hard!!!! I hate advanced cash flow statements!!

  12. See this post if you haven't fixed the problem yet...I posted a nice, clean-cut solution to windows 8 problems on there..hope it helps. Sean
  13. It shows "data" files stored on a disc from the computer.
  14. If you decide to re-install windows 8, follow the instructions I posted above...and you should be all set.
  15. The sound on my RH-10 only sounds distorted at high levels if I have the sound EQ set with high bass...if you set the sound preset to "normal" you should never experience distortion. Basically just lower the first and second slider on the custom EQ a little. If this doesn't work than it is a recording problem, headphone problem, or unlikely, a problem with the unit. Sean
  16. Thanks everyone! I was just making sure it wasn't me.
  17. What is MCrew? I just googled it and I cant find anything about it. Is this something that I can hook up to the control ports on my JE-630? Can I use this with my RH-10? Where can I download it?
  18. Hello friends, Has anyone noticed the striking crappiness of MP3 files transferred "as-is" to a HI-MD? Meaning rather than converting the MP3 file to Atrac3Plus, the RH-10 can transfer MP3's with no conversion and play them back. I am confused as to why the native format of an MP3 file sounds horrible compared to the same file converted to a different format? An MP3 converted while transferring to the HI-MD Atrac3Plus 352kbps sounds amazing compared to if you just simply transferred the MP3. I don't understand why, it makes no sense to me that it would sound better as the originating file is the MP3. I'm assuming it has something to do with the playback on the MD unit (using an RH-10 for the comparison) Can anyone enlighten me? Input is appreciated! Thanks, Sean
  19. I saw MDX-D400's sold for about $200 on ebay...that's not too bad. I might end up just saving for the Tascam though. Its triple the price...but brand new.
  20. Im so confused in Cost Accounting II!!

  21. That sounds a little too complicated for me. I would probably end up breaking the connections on the ribbon cable. Thank you for the info though, Ill just keep looking for one with factory installed SPDIF out. Im hoping to get one that is compatible with MDLP.
  22. All I can find in the US is old stock sold by individuals. I haven't found a store or a manuf. website that sells them new.
  23. I agree...The background noise or "crackle" of an LP prevents the auto track marks to be inserted on the recording MD. I also have an RH10 and I find it does a pretty good job of inserting the track marks on a digital cd copy, even analog for the most part. I have recorded a brand new record before, and it recognized a few track marks..but mostly you will have to go back manually and insert them. A little tip/trick...If you didn't already know: On the RH10 it is painstaking to fast forward through the song to get to the end to split the track...mainly it takes a while. However, if you hit pause and then fast-forward...it flies through the track at lightning speed! (no sound monitoring though). It took me a while to discover this, and I did so by mistake. Needless to say I was thrilled to have found this out. If you didn't know that the unit would do this, then it will save you a lot of time if you were fast-forwarding the "regular" way. Hope I could help, Sean
