Sony's Sir Howard Stringer | CBS 60 Minutes Interview
sh33p replied to Ishiyoshi's topic in Announcements
could it be possible then to see a relaxation in sony's drm in future products? -
This goes back to my Sony discman... Every time it died on me I would leave it off or move the batteries around and start it up again, get an extra 20 or 30 minutes out of it. With my NetMD it was worse. Once the internal died, I attached the external battery case and played with that for 20 minutes. Then I'd unplug it and get another hour or so on the internal. Real dodgy if you ask me.

Any idea how I go about obtaining it? Ah brilliant, I've found it. Never mind.

The player is fine, TinyHTTP.exe crashes once Reading Data reaches 100% and it asks me if I want to send an Error Report etc. Then it will say something about the memory referenced not being able to be read. Oh yeah, I initialised my player but now the sample songs are gone... Is there anyway to get them back? The "Feelin' Hypnotized" by Colette that came with the player is a different version to the one on her CD and I'd love to have both because she is teh 1 amazing singer.

This is the way most "neck-chain"-styled earphones are made. What you do is plug the left bud into your ear and then wrap the right cord around behind your neck and plug it in, so that when you take them out they hang off your neck. Richard_p whats the diameter on the earbuds? I think i'm going to try and nab the last pair before it goes but they have to fit well Strange... eBay is suddenly flooded with these... http://search.ebay.com/?fcid=92&satitle=AT...fkr=1&save=Save All coming out from China. If they are made in JAPAN then I don't think they would have access to Water-stock in China. It could be a stock shipment that was hijacked/stolen. Maybe the phones got damaged on the trip.

Yeah but I don't like SS very much at all. CP is really much simpler. More d&d (drag and drop). Another strange problem has cropped up which I mentioned in another thread, that is CP will now crash every time the player is Connected and the Reading Data of the player reaches 100%. Is this also due to a corrupt library, or what?

GYM | Network Walkman BROWSER-PLAYER-EXTRACTOR

How do you completeley remove SonicStage and CP and start over? -
If you have to stop listening for whatever reason but plan on continuing listening, just let it play. It will consume less power that it would to shut down the device and start it up again. So what if you miss your favourite song, it will come around again.

Well I finally got GYM to work on my NWA3000. CP is completely f***ed up though, it will crash every time I connect my NWA, or if it's already connected, after the initial Reading Data reaches 100%. As far as I'm aware, importing the crack.mp3s with CP screws it over, so it has to be done with SonicStage. I haven't gotten MP3FM to work. -
aren't the e2c's much more expensive than the ex71? i would get the ex71 if you are looking for value/performance.

Does anyone have a really stiff ArtistLink button? I think something happened to mine because it looks like it's already been pressed and is held down... I can't press it any more, and I have to press really hard for it to register with the player.

Every time I try to import something from CP it f***s up and tells me that TinyHTTP.exe has to be shut down, would you like to submit an error report. When I submit the error report I get another error about the "Reference memory could not be read" or something. This is highly unusual because imports used to work fine. The only changes since then have been 1. I imported all my songs into the CP library and now there are 1138 songs. I used to only have a few hundred at any one time 2. I tried to use GYM with CP and import all the crack*.mp3's, which made CONNECT crash. Does anyone know how to completely remove all traces of CP and start again? Everytime I uninstall it and reinstall it it feels like something has been left behind because my library will still be intact and all the settings the same. I took one look at SS3.3 and I really don't want to use it. It's just too finnicky compared to CP (when it works). I don't mind the fact that it's a bit slower.

In the http://www.gaugestudios.com/nwa1000/ guide it says if we use SS to import music then CP won't recognise the A3000 anymore. has that been fixed? Using Sonicstage to move the cracks to my player I got a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error omgjbox.exe has "Requested runtime to terminate it in an unusual way" at 99%.... -
Bookmarks are like temporary playlists. They can be made on the go by selecting the songs you want in the same playlist and selecting Add to Bookmark from the Options menu. Playlists cannot be created or edited on the player itself, it must be done with CP or SS, so bookmarks is an easy way to create simple playlists while you're out and about. The main problem with bookmarks is that each list (There are five) only hold 100 tracks, whereas playlists are theoretically unlimited.

Has anyone succeeded with GYM and MP3FM in importing the cracks to NWA3k? Xispe if SonicStage is used to import the cracks, is CONNECT Player still useable? -
Having said that canal phones will make it slightly harder to listen to music when you also need to be able to hear what is going on around you, like engaging in a chat or what not. I love the stock phones.
-
No I think it means they are working on something but they obviously recognise the fact that SS probably does CP's job better so they will want you to be able to have at least some functionality of your device. Then again they make no mention of it, so who knows?

Oh what??? What about the super-mods, like kurisu or ascariss? =[ Two questions: 1. When I launch MP3FM from my A3000, I get about three pop-up errors that say "Cannot select driv".... what does that mean? 2. Can track tags be edited thru GYM? I think this has been asked before, but I have forgotten the answer and tbh am too lazy to look through the thread.=D Furthermore about using MP3FM, it says "Transfer interrupted. Some tracks may not have been transferred!" and all I see is the 1 folder which is empty. Going to try with CP. CP ignores all the crack.mp3s Oh this is another important question... Do GYM and MP3FM have to be ON the player? Ah okay. I have to open each tmp subfolder and import the individual files one folder at a time... Sodeska!! Just a thought to xispe: if you are a mod, could you create a new thread with updated instructions and then merge it with the original Download Link and Installation Instructions thread if it is closed? -

Awesome I got my NWA3000 back so I'm going to initialise it and give GYM a go. xispe I think you should edit your other thread, "GYM Download Link and Installation Instructions" and add the instructions for the new release of GYM, that way it will be easier to find rather than trolling through this thread. Just a suggestion. -
mine did. i got it back from sonystyle today, the repair build says "mechanical adjustments" which i suppose means they probably took it apart and put it back together again. the seams are definitely tighter haven't tried pressing for creaks and i don't think i will because if i find a creak (pretty sure i will) i will probably want to break the thing. just happy to have it back.
-
yeah even the newest version reports itself as 11170. as long as it says there are no updates available then you will be fine.
-
ooh shit now there's an idea. unfortunately i'm a quality freak so i've committed myself to soley using eac/lame for ripping....
-
my thoughts are either stolen or "pirated"/fake, since they're coming out of china. or what the chinese call "water stock", that is perhaps items that have failed QC or maybe display items. or maybe just stolen, yeah. check the box, it'll probably say Made in China =D love this country

could the psp manager be hacked to work with other atrac hardware?
