Question: r the Hi MD units gonna b using the same cable as NetMDs? i'm just curious cuz i'm thinking that there must b a difference seeing that the units will be powered via usb this time..but it could just be some change in the hardware of the units..but for those who have their NH600 if u got the cable for the NET MD have u tried using it on the HI MD unit yet? Does it work?

ok.. well the only car i really drive is the company's car where i work.. the boss's son n i had a sony deck installed..n trust me..i hook up my N707 to it n analog or what ever..it sounds really good..i doubt u'd be hearing a difference

HI MD car unit..i wonder y.... y not just have a normal cd deck with an Aux input n run ur MD to it...when u park ur car it's not like u'll be listening to music nehow unless the car stays runing with ur wireless headphones connected n the unit's still playing ne who...

Jede claw..... u know i never noticed that...cuz i got a MZG750 which has am/fm n altho the remote port was the same as the others that was the only unit capable of powering the radio...so i thought it was gonna b the same with the NH800... ne who thanks 4 pointing that out cuz i certainly over looked it..n i was even considering the 800..but i found that i'm not really into the radio..especially as i don't always use my reomte...to much of a hazard when skating.. ne wayz.. PDOG58...if ur gonna be listening to radio for news or something else then it's a good idea to get the NH800..other wise..the NH900 would be just perfect :wink: but as for Kazaa n other p2p apps around ..i doubt u'll be using radio to listen to hits..( altho i do listen to internet radio for new stuff then download :grin: ).....

that oxidation thing i thought it only happend to TDK discs..n those blank Discs with no name or maker..ne who..i got 1 MD from since "96 n truth is i really can't tell u y it's not damaged..is the material used to make it different in some way?or is that just cuz of the protective outer case.... just seeking some knowledge :smile:

i got bout 5 minidiscs that were destroyed by my N707..due to the magnetic head not being connected due to busted ribon cable.. ne who the unit seemed to b writing to the disc but after which i got "no disc" or"disc err" ..ne who the discs won't play in my other players or ne player for that matter..i'm assuming the TOC is messed up badly or something... does ne one think by reformatting the discs with a HI MD unit the discs will be usuable again ?

what would make my MD perfect if it had like touch screen controls for that matter a navigated os..like the calculator on PDAs i believe that would make MDs ultra slick smooth all over with just a power button n the entire surface a screen .with playable games, able to take 10 meg pixels pics n still play music...damn......with satalite tracking system embedded in case it's stollen.. The_Stamp i thought they brought out something like that some time ago..well portable DVD players(those that looked like discmans costing bout$1000+) but i guess ur talking bout something with recording capabalities as well . i just checked Sonystyle..n saw this white DVD player check it out... the link is too long..so just check the site

nah i checked that out..n the remote n head phone port is riged onto the board tight...the soldering is huge it's not moving at all..that's not the case at all.. wish it was.....like say ur operating the unit n u put ur finger on some of the solder ends it burns don't know y..but i'm just leaving it that way ..i just us the unit to charge batteries ne way :grin:

well shipment is my last problem..i get stuff offa the net but gotta pull strings to get it here cheap..cuz here they bust ur a$$ with duty at customs.. don't talk about ordering MDs from up there n clearing them at customs..u pay like more than half the price in our currency.for instance then the MZ-N900 is U.S. 279.95 (@minidisco) ..my final costs would look something like this... $279.95 * 66% = 184.78 + 279.95 = $464.71 + $20 (other expenses)= U.S $484.71 n that's just the price for all the known expenses...other expenses might fall on me etc.. but to me..it's worth it u know..cuz the Sony dealer here..they MAD..i'd have to pay at least U.S $530+ for that same unit u have no idea..but to yall that might b like crazy n what not..but to us here it's just a way of life ....(altho there's stores here u'd get it for less than the$530)

:laugh: ..LOL.. probably i am.. but i'm really speaking in terms of price per MB...$7 for a gig is better than $20+ for a few hundred MB..i got a iomega 250 MB drive..spent 1??.?? can't remember the exact amount..usb powered but a bit slow when comes to huge files....n i was also comparing size i mean my drive is' approx 6.5" x 4.5" where as most MDs just about 3" x 3" (just off my head measurements) ..when i started buying flash mem cards...i practically stoped using my zip drives to transfer date.. just the cards cuz they're way faster n i haven't bought ne of the usb 2 compatable cards yet but i'm sure when i do i''ll have to do something with my zip drive n discs..cuz today zip discs buck per MB is still high...(with HI MD coming out..it's gonna force flash mem card makers to lower prices..cuz there's this 4 gig card out that's bout $400+) not good..not good at all

hmm...begging far from..but to be honest i've been showing some interest in delphi recently.i got delphi 7 on my pc..my prob is the transition...i love my C++ probably cuz of my community at code project..but yeah i gotta broaden my horrizons..as for delphi i never really checked it's capabalities... but those r some very good points u've mentioned in it's name especially the business aspects...cuz i'm interested in develping some biz apps..n i got this friend that's into delphi who's into making games.. but ...i don't know...well as for VB..that's just cuz i'm teaching it ..thanks ne way

hmm...i'm thinking usb powered i wonder how good that's gonna b....i've had a bad experience with MZG750 the AM/FM unit..some months after purchase the head phone port just won't work...n what i found out was that some way some how there's a connection with the remote port n the head phone port n i think it's the remote port that powered the remote..i'm saying this to say..these units r gonna be powered via usb.. and it would real bad if something's not just right n the usb powering messes with the unit bearing in mind i've never owned ne usb powered units b4 ( does ne one know if USB got power surges?)

good question..when r the Hi MDs coming out..i can't believe Sony..gotta wait till August cuz i'd take late July to mean early August...i remember bill gates pulled a stunt like that n nailed it..Sony...not doing the trick

well it's hard to say..cuz i mean Sony Handicams use magic gate mem sticks..which we all know cost n arm n leg compared to MDs if there's a transition it will not b ne time soon..

yeah but nowadays everything have this tendancy to outdate quickly todate only thing i'd say not going down that road is pc speaker systems...altho..n sound cards..

i have a navigation prob...i've been reading n reading for this complaint but haven't come accross it yet...my problem is say i'm viewing a topic n i'm on the 6th page of that topic..n i post a reply to thread..well to get back to page 6 of that topic i have to go back to the main topic's heading n click on page 6 then look for the sub topic i was in in..n then click on the page where i was at...i mean withought having to backspace my browser can u look into that 4 me please
