  1. Will have this in as soon as a little issue with permissions is handled; once that is resolved the buyer/seller feedback will be a subforum of the Marketplace that is viewable right under the Marketplace listing in the main index. I will also put all the old news as subforums so it's not as obtrusive. Are you sure? Sounds a little off to me. Anything else in mind [not saying this is a bad idea, but would like to hear other ideas as well. ]? p.s. Added new logo to the forums, but it'll probably change. We're very close to having a new theme here as well.
  2. There is a thread about it in News 2/2004, here: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=3921
  3. Changed the title and description of the subforum you mentioned. What do you think?
  4. Welcome to the forums, and please register. I believe the answer is: For 061 put 70 as usual, but for 062, put 01.
  5. Since your new, I would recommend a wait so you can get the full experience of MD, or rather Hi-MD in April. It is extremely feature-rich [jadeclaw's response is excellent], and will suit you quite well. About using the forums, here is a good link: http://forums.minidisc.org/faq.php Welcome.
  6. Yes, the guest just about hit it right on the head. I believe if you employ a preamp you will have much better success. p.s. You two need to register!
  7. I am looking into this, but I am making sure that I take my time to choose wisely.
  8. Done. Can't miss it in the main index.
  9. Meh, decided to merge "Japanese MD scene / Importing" + "MD Media" together, as well as "Future Minidisc Feature Requests" + the newly created "User Opinions". Also created a Marketplace subforum for sales and such.

Your welcome. There are many other choices as well, but the Sharp seems to be the best bang for the buck at 99 pounds. Also, you may be interested in the newest version of Minidisc called "Hi-MD". Are you familiar with it?
  11. I believe that if you want to upload your recordings digitally and faster than realtime, you should wait and purchase a Hi-MD recorder. Whilst the DR7 is a good choice, I think if you sit tight for a few more months you'll be much more satisified with the awesome functionality of Hi-MD. I'm thinking you would do well with a NH900.

If you employ an European 710 it is most likely "capped" to only 1.2mW. This is very poor. I would suggest you seek the Sharp DR420/410/400: http://minidisc.org/part_Sharp_IM-DR400+DR...R410+DR420.html It is within your price range, delivers sound [8mW ] that is unmatched compared to the 710 [the DR400/410/420 has a nice digital amp as well], has 50x NetMD, excellent recording features and much more. I think that would be an excellent alternative to what you're currently employing.. ..unless of course you're interested in Hi-MD. p.s. Please register!
  13. No, it does not. You can see for yourself at: http://minidisc.org/part_Panasonic_SJ-MJ75.html ..and also check just about any Minidisc unit ever made here: http://minidisc.org/equipment_browser.html
  14. I have moved this to "Troubleshooting / Tech Support", and I ask of you to please post in the most relevant subforum next time. About your malady, I do not have any direct experience in this situation, but if you don't get an answer you may want to consider giving Citroen's support a call.
  15. Fernando needs to hear an Auvi. Sharp's latest 1-bit digital amp products are very nice, with a clean and extremely pure sound that is somewhat marred by a low output. Not really low output, but lack of headgear that is compatible with it's 4-pole interface. When you use a headphone/earphone that has a 3-pole plug in a 4-pole plug interface, you're only getting a glimpse of the output, whereas if you do employ a 4-pole plug the digital amp really hits you [the two channel seperation is very evident]. Right now, there is limited equipment that employs the 4-pole plug, and is available at audiocubes.com. The Sharp HD-MD33 earbud would suit you well.
  16. Decreased the font size for the main index by one, and also created the subforums "Hi-MD", "User Opinions of MD" and "'phones" [everything headphone/earphone/etc goes there ].
  17. I have moved this to the subforum "User Opinions of MD". Thanks.
  18. I have moved this to the newly created "Hi-MD" subforum. Thanks.
  19. I have moved this to the subforum "NetMD", please post your topics in the most relevant subforum next time. Thanks!
  20. I have moved this to the new subforum, "Hi-MD". Thanks.
  21. I have moved this topic to "General non-NetMD Recording", and I ask of you to please post topics in the relevant subforum next time. Thanks! p.s. KJ_Palmer owns one of these systems, perhaps you should give him a PM.
  22. Made a new forum "User opinions of MD", and I am sending this thread there. Please post topics in the relevant subforum next time! Thanks.
