Hi-UP? -
You told them you were from MDCF, right? We're an affiliate. I hope everyone doesn't think I'm a money whore at this point.

We're already discussing this here: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=12897

What error do you get when you run the installer for Service Pack 2?
-
Yes, definitely, download Sonicstage 3.3 ASAP. You will have that bitrate and much better functionality.
-
Yeah, that article is pretty biased, but it is credible because of the soruce and presentation. I don't see too many tests carried out by professional organizations comparing other codecs in this manner. Please prove me wrong with links, I just haven't seen 'em..

What version of Sonicstage are you employing?
-
jadeclaw, that is mint. rofl

Definitely 256kbps ATRAC3plus, there is no other choice. Why not 192kbps? You can do that with the Pocket.

How discernable is 256kbps ATRAC3plus and 352kbps to you? What kind of headphones do you use?

Exclusive ATRACLife NW-A3000 + NW-A1000 Review
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
No, at this point it doesn't look like it will be very friendly in terms of backwards compatibility. Betas of Connect are not supporting any old device, including the PSP. It is very likely that they are attempting a clean slate with the new Walkman facade -- Sonicstage 3.3 was the stop-gap for many locales in the meantime. -
Welcome, Jordach545. Have you tried downloading Service Pack 2 manually? Just download this and install accordingly. It works no matter what copy you have, legit or not. I would recommend running a virus scan however, as not employing the latest Service Pack and employing an Internet connection will lead to sure doom. veezhun, as much as I detest software piracy I know that it's something we're all going to get used to.

Keep up the good work. I'm going to make this public soon -- if you want me to host it or whatever just tell me. I can allocate whatever resources necessary. -
Uh oh. Is it still under warranty? You could always consult a Sony Service department within India.
-
Depending on how much music you have, just go with 192kbps or 256kbps ATRAC3plus. That would be what I consider to be an acceptable medium.
-
What service pack do you have for XP? Go to start, run and type in "winver" and it should say there.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention -- after some investigation I can see this definitely has to do with SQL. What's truly odd is that the Sonicstage backgrounds are able to be downloaded, but the html for the live recordings do not. Hopefully we can get a resolution on this tomorrow. -
70+ bugfixes will help you in the long run when browsing the forum, as it should be faster. Nothing too signifigant. As for the Downloads section, it has a more streamlined appearance.

The web has been abuzz since a recent article by Mark at Sysinternals preformed an in-depth examination of Sony's DRM programs that come with quite a few of their CD's. The results were stunning -- not in the good sense. What do you guys think of this mishap? Will this be the final catalyst for a true internal shift within Sony? Further discussion from the BBC: Finally, Sony has released a patch to assist in the removal procedure. You may learn more about this here: http://cp.sonybmg.com/xcp/english/updates.html
