As Low Volta said with Sonic Stage 3.3 you have the ability to upload recorded material into your computer, once in and coverted to wav,(again what Low Vota said) you can burn to your hearts content. Again, get a good Hi-MD, you will be happy, don't worry (song there somewhere if so inclined) Welcome to the machine, Bob

Have a Hi-MD question that doesn't need a thread? [part III]
bobt replied to Christopher's topic in Minidisc
You need a M10 or M100, or you upload in real time like the good old days. Bob -
Try Sonic Stage 3.3, there are a few improvements, Have fun Bob BTW, I,ve seen a lot of bad software since 3.1, and most of itis from m/soft, ss if far from the worst Try SS or Simple Burner to download CD's, and upload your live shows and you will see it's strengths. Welcome, Bob

Try pushing the scroll wheel and see what comes up. Take care, Bob

I could be wrong, but I seem to think on a real long connect a small degree of charging took place on my NH 1's, will try again when my new one comes in TTFN Bob

Your best bet may be the N1 or first generation Hi-MD, they allow direct recording from your unit, the second generation allows recording from Sonic stage which is probably what you will need anyway since all your tune are on the computer, Have fun, Bob

You can disable the quick start, but what are you saving by pulling the battery, these units have great battery life, if it is an issue, find another battery for spare, enjoy your NH1, and welcome to our world. Bob -
Have a great one, I will be helping a friend here with fireworks here tonight, hope 2006 is a great one for all Bob

About 85 degrees F, calm sea, just another day in paradise Happy new year to all Bob

Try going down a few spaces to the headphone forum, mucho going on. Hope you're enjoying the 10 Bob

1st generation players and recorders play mp3's just fine, they are trancoded though. If it is so important that you don't want transcoding, get a second generation,. but remember there is life beyond mp3, and that is the strength of minidisc. Bob

Your ears are the ultimate quide, record the same song at different bitrates and listen through good headphones, if you can't hear, or hear very little difference, use the lower bitrates,if you hear big differences use higher bitrates. With the prices of 80 and 74 minute discs being fairly low, and shopping around 1 gig discs as well get a few discs, and happy recordind, Bob

Can I use the AC-E60EG with the MZ-NH1?
bobt replied to Superbaldguy's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
The Li-ion in my NH1 is 370 MA, so the 700 ma should charge ok, the Sony unit I have is 800 ma. The 1000 ma could concievably charge a little faster, or more completely.. U should have my new unit this week from a second party in Australia, interested to see what the bundle looks like. Take care, Bob -
Just a slight niggle, you say you want the best sound quality, then you say you want lots of bass??? Try listening to good music flat with good headphones, then tweak slightly, you might be surprised at what you are missing. That being said the NH1 theoretically has the best "quality", but ultimately your ears are the judge. Take care, Bob
