He is in the classified section, and has a listing for NH1's and NH=900's, PM him and ask for details, prices are good and he seems eager to work with you. I've benn dealing with freasus on an NH1, don't have the unit yet, but he's bending over backwards to make this purchase work,, when I get the unit he will get my fnal approval, but for now fo with him, seems like the real thing Bob

Took a quick look, prices seem about average, content strictly top 40 pap, tried a search for some of my faves (Tangerine Dream, Manfred Mann, Lacrimosa) and nothing there. May give them a try to see about delivery times etc, but would like to see them offer a bit more for us that disdain top 40. Bob

You will need SS3.2 or 3.3 and should have recorded through line in or mic, then you should be able to upload. Good luck, but why not just leave it on the NH1 rather then double coding it for the puddle?? Bob

If you have a first generation you can record in "legacy" format, which is old school, and it is mauch faster than 1 to 1, maybe 2 to 3 minutes for a cd. If you have a second generation you can record through sonic stage in a ducked up legacy format. My recommendation, get a first generation unit. Welcome Bob

Try going up to SS3.3, and try using Simple burner. Make sure your menu doen't have insert pause at end of track, I believe that is in there but not sure.

Could be they are copyrighted, can you burn an audio cd of the tracks and use simpleburner to put them on the MD. I've used this methon with realplayer tracks and it works quite well. Bob

Does your computer sense your unit as an external drive? 98 may be too old to do this, do yourself a favor and either upgtade to XP pro pr even better get a newer computer with XP pro and transfer your HD to the new computer, sounds like you are running at the limits of an old system Bob

Again every ear is different, the easiest thing is record a song on the same disc at different bit rates and see if you can tell the difference. Use something with a piano and low levels for the best results, and also a song you are very familiar with. I use all th bitrstes, depends on what I want and what I am recordind, Doesn't make sense to use PCM on a 60 year old mono recording. Try it for yourself. Bob

Yes you can use 80 minute discs, where do you live, so we can tell you where to shop, most multi use shops should have some discs. Welcome to the forums Bob

<akes no difference on a/c, and if I try to manual record with mic or line the display says"auFILEerr". and if I try recording off the simpleburner dialogue box it says to insert disc and press download, and the record light doesn't flicker. May have to pull the lid and see is=f some interlock has come undone. Damn Bob

What player do you have, and what version of SS do you have. If you have an old version get 3.3 and either have it convert to atrac, or if second generation, just download. Again for a more accurate answer we need to know what you have, Bob

Tried this in technical tips and nothing happened, maybe more looking on this forum. A couple of days ago I was listeing to a disc in the car when the speakers started beeping, no music. pressed stop then play and nothing. Pulled over and turned the light on and the remote and NH1 said NO DISC, tried a couple of other discs, even a fresh disc, and nothing, just no disc. It feels like it's spinning up, but nothing. Anyone have something like this, and what did you find?? Thanks, Bob

I've come across it a couple og=f times on mine, and it was a little corrosion on the plug, cleaned it and it semed to work. Good luck, Bob

Was listening to my NH1 tonight, in the middle of a song it beeped several times, then silence, put in another disc, nothing, turned on the light in the ar, and it read no disc, tried a couple more discs, same thing, no disc. Anyone come across this, right now I've got the battery out,, is there a reset? Thanks, Bob

Some car units also have an auxilliary jack on the face plate, with these you simply use a male to male adapter from your line out or headphones to the input. Good luck Bob
