  1. I hate to burst the bubble. The SP that Sonicstage provides is actually LP2 with extra bits added to pad it. It's not real SP. Sony can't use real SP because it involves paying Dolby some heavy licensing fees, as the SP codec used some of their patents already.
  2. Please add tracking, for your peace of mind and mine as well. BTW, you can also calculate shipping online at the USPS website. *rubs paws in anticipation*
  3. I'll take it! It's working fine and the charging base is included, right? Don't worry about the headphones, or program disc. I have that aplenty. What's your Paypal address? And how much for the shipping to Zip 85027? -S.

Sorry for the extremely late reply, and the lack of action on my behalf. Hell has been work, I mean, work has been hell recently (That means the economy is rebounding), and I barely have the time to check stuff around here the way I did before. I'll try to, though.

    iTunes 9

Too bad that MD is being discontinued. I cannot brag about how well SonicStage works compared to I-Tunes, now.
  6. That singer is swimming in money. He's one of the most popular, if not THE most popular Mexican singer, ever. It could be that he got greedy and was unhappy Sony was going to release songs he recorded prior to signing up with them (BMG was his previous record label, IIRC), without his consent... Or Sony got greedy and was trying to make money off his work with another company, and without his knowledge. (I think Sony's the one at fault.)
  7. All right. I'll be waiting. *rubs paws in anticipation*
  8. Please post them ASAP. I have the money and provided the goods are there... so will the money.
  9. Hello. I am interested in the Cheapest one. (Dibs! Mine, all mine! Back off!) Can you show pictures?
  10. What's that thing about SP having true stereo? AFAIK, only ATRAC 3+ had joint-stereo (Cannabis reference? LOL) when using Hi-LP. Or is it that, 192, 256 and 352 use "fake" stereo? Anyone care to clarify?
  11. First: Are you recording or just playing back with the deck? (Or a better question is: Where is your music coming from onto the discs?) Second: Do you need to upload recordings to the computer? What is your budget? Finally, unless you want to play Hi-MDs you have made from the computer into your Hi-MD portable (No Hi-MD deck can connect to the computer to move songs back and forth) I would stick with the old-style SP decks out of price and availability. An MD deck can be obtained for cheap easily now. A HI-MD one will be a bigger investment. You don't want to use Hi-MD discs but are interested in the 352 KBPS bitrate? Also, Hi-MD will handle PCM/Wav, which is the same as CD.
  12. I'd buy it off you if I didn't have one already. Good luck with the sale, Chris.
  13. If the recording is on a regular MD, you can upload it to a computer using the RH1 (of have someone do it for you.) If it was on HI-MD, you can upload. Or record to your computer using Line-in. SonicStage will not play MIDI files. You will need to record to an MD using your computer's line out, as they are played by Windows Media Player or similar.
  14. Male-to-male stereo headphone plug should do the trick. If you are in the USA, Radio Shack should have it.
  15. You can also try another remote, even if it's not the tuner one. And lookie what my doggie nose found: http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-RM-MC39LT-Mini-Di...93%3A1|294%3A50 The remote for the NHF800!
  16. Try WMA Lossless or FLAC. Same sound, less space. That being said, your ears are the best judge. Some people like using ATRAC 64 Kbps and say that sounds fine to them. (How? Just... how??? ). Others think/feel MP3 at 320 is transparent enough to be enjoyed in mid-fi environments. Others can tell the difference between Ogg at 700 kbps and an uncompressed source. I myself stick to 256 kbps and above, regardless of format.
  17. Okay. That is for us fans. What about Joe Ipod-Lover in the street, or John Recording-Enthusiast?
  18. But doesn't this little device pretty much.. well.... beats it?
  19. Why do I get the feeling that MD just exhaled its last breath for good?
  20. I was expecting HI-MD and MD to last until 2015. Oh well. At least Sony is still thinking of the enthusiasts. *clutches his NH900 and RH1*

Another vote for the Etymotic 4P. They work wonderfully with the digital amps.
